Ex County? Thought he was a winger?

On Vose, whilst he's undoubtedly got some talent, I'm not sure he's what we really need. We've got a tremendous work ethic across the team and can't afford to carry players just for their technical ability. We have "match winners" in the squad already so unless we bring him in on peanuts then I'd rather see us bring in an out and out left winger. Danny Lloyd maybe?!

Playing up top for Peterborough at times and from the area I believe. Only speculation, but it does seem your band embarrassing us has made Palios dip into Peter Johnson’s £150m pockets.

If we don't go up you're pretty much guranteed to try and sign Durrell (Wrexham will probably sign Wilson).

Hope Lloyd is not a target, after the way the jerk stupidly wound up home fans in the Peterborough Cup massacre.

Think we’ve left it far too late to be buying anyone and everyone.

Durrell next season, yes please!

Durrell is happy at being a big fish in a small(ish) pond. He would not suit Tranmere and he's no better than what they've got anyway.

Thanks for that, appreciate you fighting our battles to hold on to our players.

We signed Norburn off Macc, whether that was good business is debatable.

Come to realise that for 10 mins each game he'll be brilliant but it completely passed him by and has no control of it for the other 80?

He is a decent player who is in very poor form.

Norburn was an improvement on Lois Maynard and an ageing Steve Jennings, the players he replaced.

Fair assessment. There are times when he seems desperate to get rid of the ball rather than carry it forward too.

Agree re Steve Jennings. Maynard and Norburn are like apples and oranges, different types of player. We miss some of the driving runs and physical presence from Lois Maynard in midfield.

Maynard could not trap a bag of cement. He was not suited to the kind of football Mellon likes to play. If nothing else, Norburn is decent technically.

I’d agree that Norburn is technically more gifted, but he rarely breaks into a sweat and is a frustrating player. Maynard had different strengths and we did try to keep him when he left for Salford, so Mellon must have felt he could use him in his own system.

Actually like Norburn. Although out of form he is a footballer, better technically than a lot of the tripe we have had in central midfield over the last 4 years or so. Someone who can evolve with the team.

As for Durrell have to share the above sentiment that like with James Alabi he would not excel at Tranmere.

Why would Danny lloyd leave Peterborough. He plays often and scores goals for them. Can’t see him ever being in the conference again

Aren't there about 8 Danny Lloyds of varying quality knocking about at the minute?

Paul Turnbull to return to Stockport from Chester I have heard. On a 2 year deal there and on big money. Should of never of left Macc- went to Barrow for the money now it's all gone downhill. Would get nowhere near our midfield now.

He wasn't a regular starter in his final season with us and I gather the contract offer we gave him before he left reflected the fact that he wasn't really needed here. We offloaded him at the right time in my opinion.

Some of our fans moaned that we "sold him to a rival" - he was shite for us. Was a passenger when we were a good side for the first-half of last season, and looked old and slow when it started getting tricky towards the end of the season. Conference North seems about right.

Yep his back had gone in his last season with us, shame as he was fantastic the previous year. Think our contract offer represented this more than anything.
