Whoever rang the plod over a posting on the interbez needs naming and shaming.
What a douche, unplug your internet if your feelings get hurt easily
To be fair, if it's who I think it is and if I've understood what happened right, a lot of people would do the same. I know I would.

Agree with an earlier post, my Twitter is linked to my profile but I rather my pictures weren't shared to laugh at (not sure I'm on any anyway) and certainly wouldn't tolerate them being photoshopped to make me look an idiot. Good job admin.

Absolutely the right thing to do and if the person of the receiving end felt threatened, I understand him contacting the police.

Having said that, that would be a last resort for me. If he didn't appeal for admin's help first, shame on him. If he did and admin failed to act, shame on them.

To be honest, if some bloke off the internet was calling my mobile at all hours having somehow got my mobile number, my first action wouldn't be to send a strongly worded PM to the mods. I'd be straight onto the police. It's a matter outside the control of the forum - all they could do was ban them, and that obviously couldn't stop the calls.

My apologies, I only skim read and missed the phone calls bit. Calling the plod was obviously the right way to go.

However, who the fuck puts their mobile number on social media? Facebook is continually asking for my mobile number so that I can 'retrieve my account' but I wouldn't give it to them in a month of Sundays and beyond. The victim here has suffered, no doubt about it, but he didn't help himself by publicising his mobile number.

I believe it was on a WhatsApp group chat that the victim was a member of. Obviously there's a risk when 'strangers' and personal information is involved, but IMO this was fairly low-risk.

I must re-iterate that the person who's phone was rung at 2:30am wasn't the user that contacted the police, he decided to take it up with the admin instead, amongst other things that said user has done.

I would like to apologise to everyone, especially myself, for knowing my true identity.

They could have rang 101 or whatever the non emergency line is TBF. Still over the top though.

This is an extremely pixelated picture of me in Edinburgh recently.

Uploaded with my own permission.

ENHANCE!

Shit, looks like it only works on TV shows :(

Couldn't the wet animal who called the police just have blocked the number that was calling them?

Not if the caller suppressed his number.

I didn't notice that it is that serious here with some members. Weird. And good that the staff has taken actions

btw: I couldn't make out who is now banned because those I suspected don't have the "banned" text under their avatar . Maybe we need a "Members Departures" Thread like thefootballforum ;)

There was an 'idiot' list on the old forum, and these 'idiots' would beg all the time to mods and admin to remove them from said list. IIRC, the 'idiot' status meant the forum member was only one small step away from a ban.

I'll start it off.

1. Silkyman

Where can I find Silkyman's best work Dickie? General chat? I don't think I've ever come across one of his posts and thought it OTT or something.

2. Chris FGR
3. Sparrow.

Trust me Liam, there are worse than those two on the NL forum. Sparrow's only a wannabe troll, and Chris is always on about how big FGR will soon be. Sure, his posts verge on the ridiculous at times, but he also gets a load of crap thrown his way simply because he supports FGR.

The worse ones on the NL forum are those poor bitter ones who start spouting shit and taking it out on the other members as soon as their side has lost a game.

If I'm being voted for by the forums resident racist, homophobic, sexist Islamophobe I reckon I must be doing quite a lot right!
