Wednesday vs Sunderland

Not sure what to think about this game, thought Sunderland would struggle this season but they picked up a great 3 points yesterday away at Norwich. We still haven't got going yet this season and with Hutchinson and Loovens both getting injured at the weekend we look extremely weak defensively. Expect Pudil will drop in at centre half which is a disaster waiting to happen but we don't have any other option. Who knows whats happening with Forestieri, left out of the squad at the weekend after a bust up with Winnall in training last week, Winnall was in the squad though and Carlos was very non comittal when asked if Forestieri would play again so we're just waiting to see what happens with this one. I think he'll probably shove Reach to left back, which imo is the right move because he's toss going forward.

Some promising signs tonight in what was overall a much better peformance, absolutely dominated the second half and should have won it hitting the crossbar and having one scrambled off the line. Beautiful strike from Jones to get us level and thought he had a decent game at the bottom of the diamond despite the grumblers on the Kop, good performances also from Reach, Bannan, Pudil and Fletcher when he came on. Conceding such a sloppy shit goal early on has cost us that game really, Sunderland were a solid side with some decent quality going forward and I expect they'll be challenging the top half of the table much more than the bottom end like some of their fans were predicting. There is no way Kone should be playing at this level either he was a beast for them. 2 points from 3 games isn't anywhere near promotion form but we're getting there and it gives me a bit of hope for the trip to Fulham on Saturday.
