Sorry to see Barnsley relegated. However, they will bring a reasonably large and good-humored following to Spotland - where hopefully a plant pot will be provided in case they lose!

Looking forward to giving Keef some stick. You know how us Barnsley fans like to hold a grudge.

Contrary to the GIF I posted earlier in the thread, I'm actually looking forward to League One again. Oxford, Bristol Rovers, Wimbledon, Plymouth, Luton, Accrington, Wycombe, all new grounds for me. Cheaper tickets, some good local games that won't cost 36 quid a ticket, theoretical better chance of winning a few games.

And the best thing of all, that chippy outside the away end at Spotland. Yeah bwoi.

Don't get too excited at coming to our Concrete Wind Tunnel unless you like the view of a car park and Hotel, Bowling Alley etc :).

Parking is ample though, just don't expect to get out quickly. If wanting a drink, go into the centre then get a taxi to the ground or slum it on the bus.

Even that is an understatement

No chance he'll come unfortunately. He'll have championship suitors (Leeds is my guess), will want to manage at a higher level than league one and has said in the past he'd never want to tarnish his reputation with our fans. I'd love it if he did manage us but not gonna happen.[/QUOTE

hey Barnsley, what’s it like knowing as a club you have no meaningful Derby?

The Owls have the blades, we have the flourheads and you have...erm...Shaw Lane?

Very, I have no life mate but that’s besides the point. If Rotherham don’t go up which of the two would you most look forward to playing?

Neither in particular. They're both small clubs that won't be a threat to our promotion push.

If barnsley keep Moore and Bradshaw for next season then I can see them getting lots of goals, 2 very good strikers at this level.

You may as well wait a few weeks and get Heckinbottom back

No thanks.

Still have no idea what Leeds were thinking. Baffling appointment.

Grant McCann 1/8 with BetVictor. Bit of a strange one that.

Think what you guys need is an ex pro like what Rangers and Derby have done. Someone who knows the game inside out and played at the highest level. Someone like...oh I don’t know maybe Sol Campbell? Come on guys give him a job will you, nobody else wants him and that reflects badly on all of us.

Because Leeds had just sacked a coach who had them pushing for the top 6, And replaced him with a manager who had won 7 out of his last 47 games. Unsurprisingly, and not at all predicted so by many at the time, it hasn't exactly worked out for them.

Could do worse than getting someone like Kenny Jackett in from Portsmouth. The Morais gamble didn't pay off Wagner/Nuno style.

It would be racist if we didn't immediately offer him the job tbf
