As many posters are in the shoutbox I imagine it leaves the forum very vulnerable to getting infected with viruses. I imagine that is the stumbling block in keeping on the site.

I imagine you know very little about viruses/infections?

If anything regarding the shoutbox software being vulnerable, it wouldn't be to do with the amount of users in there, or the traffic it gets whatsoever. It would be a vulnerability within the code of the shoutbox that allows hackers/certain programs to get through.
