After a couple of decent performances against 2 top sides, feeling a bit more confident going into this one. Newport are a good side but if we play like we did last week, take our chances and don't make defensive howlers then we should stand a chance of getting something.

With Noble out the team we've actually been playing better, Isaiah Osbourne has helped stiffen it up and we look better balanced. Good to hear Reece Brown's back, that lad is going to be a top player imo and he's starting to come good.

Be good to see Pipey and Riggy again, both were good players for us, as was Bitts although he's suspended for this one.

This should be a great test as to whether the good signs are a genuine turnaround. Should be able to put out the same side as last Sat?

We could do with a kind set of fixtures in the next 6 games or so. but that circumastance is not available in this league. So concentrating on this game we really need to win it. That is what we need so badly or we'll keep dragging the chains of failure around with us, and that weight will keep dragging us further down.

Can we win it, yes we can, but Newport are in good form. We need to repeat the performance of last Saturday, and hope the home advantage can get us over the line this time. A lot hinging on this game.

See it's Brown in for Bugiel as the only change - can't see the subs off the club text and no Twitter here but guess Omar is on the bench. (ETA ah, see off the forum that he is)

Well on the evidence so far last week was the blip and Brown for Bugiel wasn't the right change. Two down and barely a shot again.

Four now. Suppose Cooper will survive even this, no shame in losing to this Newport side but the manner of it is the issue. Worst GD and league position tells its own story.

Looks to me you lot are still getting to grasp with L2, just like we did back in 2014. We'd beat a top side or hold them to a draw and then we'd expect to beat the smaller sides like Pools and Morecambe, forgetting that our playing style was more suited to playing the big boys.

Still having said that , I think a change in manager is what you lot need right now before it's too late, as not a lot of sides can look all but doomed and then go on a great winning run like Hartlepool and Ronnie Moore did. I do believe there's a difference in class between the Connie and L2, but not as much as your results suggest.

Comparing us to Morecambe? Dear fucking god. You only support Cambridge.

Does DV even give a damn? When was the last time he spoke up about what's going on this season? I'm getting somewhat concerned by it all.

Haha. You're much bigger than Morecambe but I was referring to sides below us in the standings at the time or to those sides with pretty poor away records. But tbf a better example would've been Crawley and Dagenham. My bad.

We are so bad, I bought my tickets for Coventry on Thursday so have to go now :( football used to be fun, back in the good old days relegation battles used to be fun but now it's fucking awful, our players used to try back then, not the best ability wise but always had heart!! This team atm is just a sack of shit. Not helped by such a wanker of a manager.

They are trying. They just aren't very good. In fact they're shite. I will however go to Coventry, not cos I have to but because I fucking love this club and a bad start to the season and a relegation battle isn't going to stop me supporting my club.

I will be going too, got my ticket on Thursday so have to go only missed three games this season two being the checkatrade and the only league game being Colchester as I was on a cruise around Spain and Portugal so sort of made it impossible. Even if we lose 9-0 Tuesday I'll still be at the next game just stating I saw for more effort back when we were expected to get relegated but always punched above our weight. It's just not very fun atm.
