Becoming a little frustrating playing against the better sides but not getting the points, if anyone watched the villa game the other night we played exactly how we do a lot of games but we failed to score, we seem to let in a ridiculous amount of shots in to shots on goal ratio. I think we will start the same at wolves on Saturday and if we can find a way to convert the chances we might stay up there.

Wolves 0-1 blades (Clarke 4 mins) 29,321 (2012 blades).

If (or when) Clarke scores against I hope he runs over to the North stand, pulls out a pork pie, and celebrates by slowly eating it.

Now we have our vitamin D topped up, we look back to our old selves. Can see this being a high scoring game, and well it needs to be as they have 3 ex Wolves players to score against us. As for team news, our only injury concern is Saiss having a hamstring problem, so expect N'Diaye to fill the void. Also I can't see Afobe starting, but will come on as a sub. Having to work till 2.30pm and then going up on the train after which is a bit shit.

Ruddy
Bennett - Coady - Boly
Doherty ----------------- Douglas
Neves - N'Diaye
Cav' ---------------- Jota
Bonatini

Wolves 4-3 Sheff Utd
(Bonatini, Jota x2, Afobe) (Clarke, Stearman, Evans)

Should be a good game this. A draw would be a great result here, but I'd love it if Sheffield United win. 2.1 wolves

You aren't catching wolves that's a fact. We are capable of winning, if we play like we did against you in the 1st half especially, all about taking chances

Probably not, but it will put pressure on them, if they lose, and we win. We've still got to play them.

I've seen worse, even fucking Fulham fans think they can catch us according to their forum.

I'm not saying we will. You lose tomorrow, and we win, it will put pressure on you. Personally, I think you will edge it tomorrow.

I've seen this 'put the pressure on us' term a lot though, and the few occasions we have dropped points other teams haven't been able to close the gap. Realistically on our current form through the season, someone would have to win more or less every single game to catch us. The other alternative is that we have a Derby style collapse. I think that is the more likely of the two, and even then I very much doubt it will happen.

Tough game to try and bounce back in, we will give it everything no doubt and capable of getting a result.

Although love our attacking approach we need to make sure we defend in numbers once lose ball as Wolves will punish us.

I’m predicting one of them plucky 2-1 defeats where Wolves complement us about how we gave them a good game
They’ll be loads of positives from the performance but it’ll be another, as they say in the Eurovision contest “nil point”.

Hope I’m wrong, it’s not totally unrealistic that we can win but I’d settle for a score draw.

The other theory is that no one has thrashed us this season and we’ve consistently put in decent performances.
Our biggest defeat so far is a 3-1 defeat at Millwall and a 2-0 away at Cardiff.
So we are over due a big defeat where everything goes wrong.

And I agree with the others. Wolves can afford a big blip and they’ll still be fine. Can’t see anyone that will catch them.

Well that was a shit start.

Really getting fed up of conceding long range worldies every match.
At the moment 45% of shots on target towards our goal result in a goal to the opposition.
Our goalie tends to not have much to do each match, apart from take the ball out of the net.
Brilliant goal but it’s getting beyond a joke.

Yup, too good for this level when they perform like this.

2 absolutely sensational goals. We can't get into the game at all. A level above

We've both been terrible since the turn of the year, you a bit before that. Very concerning.

I don't think United are even playing that bad, just Wolves have turned it on a few times and that's the difference.

He could well get a 3 game ban for that instead of the 1 game ban. He's wank anyway.

Outstanding from wolves, no complaints whatsoever, fully outplayed. Very very Jose mourinho like performance, they just soak any pressure with absolute ease and show the class when they need too. Very very impressed with them. We certainly can't compete with that.

Totally agree. It was funny because I think we played quite well for the first 30 minutes but we found ourselves 2-0 down from finishing of the highest quality (can’t fault the defenders or keeper). Wolves then just sat back and controlled the game breaking with quality and speed.

It’s as though Wolves are a team on steroids. Too good for the Championship. Think they’ll be fine next season in the PL, even with this team.

Wolves will be challenging for 7th spot in the prem imo. Already got a class team and will spend 100m plus in the summer.

Loved that, echo the thoughts Sheff Utd were playing well first half. That 2nd goal from Wolves was near unbelievable overall quality. I feel utterly spoiled as a Wolves fan currently.

That's some statement. By no means delusional, but one hell of a statement. With a few additions, and keeping what they have, why not. Things definitely look bright for them. I'm just hoping we can match their ambition IF we go up.

I don't think Sheffield United we bad, I just though we turned it on tonight. The few times we have played at that capacity this season (Villa, Leeds, Bolton etc) I think we are simply unstoppable. I don't mean that in an arrogant way, because there are some very good sides and players at this level.

Ruben Neves really is something else. This guy will be at Madrid/Barcelona/Juventus/Munich in a few years time, this is certain. It's almost unfair that he is allowed to play at this level, he can do things with a footballl most other players can only dream of. I'm running out of things to describe him as.

Great to see Benik back in a Wolves shirt, he got a great reception from the fams and very nearly scored. All in all a great day for us. Sheff Utd shouldn't get to disheartened though, you won't play many teams like the one you did tonight, and well you already took 3 points from us.
