Swan and Wolf going at it I see.

Also thought Wolves should have done better in the second half against a 10 man Everton. Game was a bit off until Richarlison's second and fingers must be pointed at the hosts for that. They're at home and are a man up. Pickford should have been tested more than he was.

I guess if people think we should be doing better than drawing 2-2 with Everton we're certainly going in the right direction. Would have taken a draw all day long before kick off, add in the entertainment factor of a desmond and I'm very happy.

Context is everything, plenty of time to settle into the league. All other promoted sides lost, Wolves look like they have the talent for the like, very unsure on Bennett and Doherty as long term options but Vinagre looked good, I'd keep him left and go Otto right, liked what I saw from him, tactically looked to have a very good understanding.

It's good to see Richarlison getting off to a good start after all of the guffawing from the Liverpool fans on here over his (admittedly surprising, financially speaking) move to Everton. I hope he has a great season.

That was never a red card.

It's a difficult one. Jota was clear through on goal if he doesn't take him out. It was a studs up challenge too (considered violent conduct) which is almost always punished by a red nowadays. A few years ago it's a yellow all day long but the rules are more strict in 2018.

If we didn't score the resulting free kick then I don't think people would be as opposed to it.

I thought he got the ball. Studs are on show, but they are low. Good tackle in my eyes. Great free kick though.

Touching the ball and winning the ball are different though, his lunge causes him to recklessly take more man than ball, I like Jag but some of this is cultural from us as British fans, he shows terrible technical ability to miss control and hasnt opened his body up to receive the balk, he then wildly lunges to compensate when he could stay on his feet, no one is pointing out the number of inadequate decisions he made and executed, just moaning about if it was a red, which it was.

It's a contact sport though, right? I'll have to watch it again, but my first reaction was, great tackle.

Just watched it again. First reaction again was great tackle. Slow motion and it's a foul and sending off.

Everton won't finish as high as they did last season.

Personally think it's a brilliant spot by the ref, although let himself down with the placement, not that it matters as Neves would have just scored anyway...

The main question for the red card seems to be was it for serious foul play or denying a goal scoring chance.

Appears the officials weren't sure themselves !

Richarlison will prove an astute bit of business for the bitterz ,his first goal was instinctive and his second was inventive although he did start in the same vein for Watford before he dipped quicker than Google Glass . I was impressed with Neves ,he looks a real find and as yet a cherry unpicked for the money clubs.

A real find? He is the youngest captain the history of the Champions League. He was quite well known when we first bought him. Just keeping him warm until Barca/Madrid come knocking.

So, just to be clear ,you're taking umbrage at my use of the word find ?

I'm just saying he's hardly a find if he's set records across Europe before he came to Wolves. The way you said it, you made it out like he was some unknown player before he came to Wolves.

My intentions were not to undermine his status and I'm sure we concur on the lads ability and how his procurement has been a major coup for Wolves ? Its just if you continue to post a retort every time someone posts something you find dismissive then your digits will never leave your keyboard fella :bg:
