After releasing every out of contract first team player, our manager has confirmed that some of the contracted players have been told that they are free to find new clubs as they are unlikely to play many games. He’s not naming them publicly which I think is right, but if was to guess I’d say...

I rate him. He’s one of the few who’ve actually done alright in League 1 for us up until the last few months. But it’s been clear for months that he needs a change of scenery and his head has been away from the club. Best for both parties he goes but I expect he’ll get a new club no problem.

No surprises. I’d like to see 5 possibly 6 of the contracted players moved on as well.

Elliot Watt confirms he’s leaving Salford. Could be a good signing for someone, but maybe he’s looking at League 1 now after some good years at this level.
