I remember Donovan from his Bundesliga Stints at Leverkusen (1999-2005) and Bayern Munich (2009 , 6 matches). At Leverkusen he couldn't make it into the First Team as a regular, he played only 7 Matches (0 Goals) for them in 6 years and 28 Matches (7 Goals) for Bayer Leverkusen's Amateur Team.

And 2009 when Jürgen Klinsmann was Bayern Coach he wanted to have Donovan "on loan", but Klinsmann's Co-Trainer Hermann Gerland said back then that he isn't even good enough for Bayern's 2nd Team. All in all he made 6 Matches for Bayern (all as substitute) with 0 Goals.
