Yeah I can't see than Pats taking anything other than a QB I would be amazed if they either traded down or took someone else

As for the Bills, I think Wide Reiceiver is the direction for us and honestly I would not trade up for one unless one of the big 3 slides down the board into the 20's range

No shocks in the top 3 it has been exactly as expected it will be interesting to see how long before we see someone trades down Cards is possible.

Top three played out as I thought it might with Caleb, Daniels then Maye taken. Next one to really look at is who will trade up for JJ McCarthy or possibly Penix.

Really pleased we haven’t tried to get too cute. Heard one scenario we might trade down to go back up but didn’t really see the benefit there. Maye likely will need to sit a while but then I guess that’s why we brought in Brissett during free agency.

Really worth watching the Pat McAfee show on YouTube tonight as they have Belichick on and he’s breaking all the players film down and holding nothing back.

Joe Alt taken by the Chargers. I think once all is said and done this will probably be the best pick of the whole draft and that’s including MHJ. Harbaugh going to be running that ball a lot.

Don't hate the Chargers pick thought they would of gone Nabers but taking the best Tackle is a good pick.

The way this board has played out early looks like Minnesota won’t have to trade up if they want to draft their franchise QB. Every pick so far is on the offensive side which is how it’s been expected. Don’t like that the Jets are likely going to have a shot at Bowers or Odunze.

Nabers to NYG, great player. Do they have the QB to get him the ball will be interesting to see.

Wow Penix to the Falcons. That’s a shocker. Good player but surely they should have gone the top defensive player having just brought in Cousins!

Falcons just threw a major curveball taking Penix especially after signing Cousins.

Also interesting is if the Bears don't go defence it's likely there won't be one in the top 10.

Vikings move up one spot with Jets and get JJ McCarthy. Will be honest I just haven’t seen him make enough plays to like him that much as Michigan pretty much run every down. Could be worse having that Vikings offense to work with. Still means the Jets can get Bowers too.

Some interesting records being set 6 QB's taken in the 1st round equaling the legendary 83 draft

And no Defensive player still not taken which is record setting

Took to the 14th pick for a defensive player which is unheard of. Probably expect a run on corners before long so might even up a bit.

If Brian Thomas falls into around the mid-20s wouldn’t be against the Pats maybe trading up with pick 34. Am certain other teams like Buffalo among others might have the same idea though.

Yeah the lack of defensive players taken has been interesting Falcons was the team I expected to take one the talk is the Cousins tampering situation must be worse

On Brian Thomas I would be okay staying where we are I think the gap between Thomas, McConkey and Mitchell isn't big enough to justify the trade up.

Yeah true, McConkey is a really good one. Think Thomas paired with Josh Allen could be as good as the one with Diggs over time. Fautanu to the Steelers looks a good one, really building that line now.

One interesting little story pre-draft apparently the Pats had reached out to the Chargers to see if they’d be willing trade Herbert for the #3 pick if Harbaugh wanted to take McCarthy. Probably a little optimistic.

Didn't want McCarthy, though a bit of solace taking him at 10 rather than trading up into the top 5 to do it. Love the second pick, think we can afford to give up those mid-round picks given the state of our roster. Don't have many next year either though we will get a couple of comps. Hopefully they announce a Jefferson contract extension today.

I think there's a decent chance this QB class is looked back on like the 2021 has.

Williams - Worth it, Chicago building something good, offense looks scary
Daniels - Definitely worth it at 2 but until Washington prove they can be something other than a total dumpster fire he's at risk. Not sure Quinn/Kingsbury is great for him.
Maye - Needed to land in the right situation and probably sit for a bit. New England isn't going to be that for a a multitude of reasons I reckon. Bust.
Penix - I love this kid having seen plenty of him for Washington, he was easily a top 3 QB in this class, the one I wanted knowing we couldn't get the other two. Horrible situation for him to go to though, he'd have been great for us or Vegas, but I do find it hilarious for Cousins.
McCarthy - I just don't see why he's valued so high, seems purely because he was on a good team. He can't really have asked for a better situation to land in with our weapons and coach, he'll have no excuses.
Nix - 12 is far too high but needs must given how the board fell I suppose. He's got a chance of working out but I think Payton is a bit of a fraud these days, 50/50 for me.

Buffalo really need to be using the pick on a receiver I reckon, get that Diggs replacement in. That said with the likes of McConkey, Mitchell and Coleman still on the board can see a few teams trying their luck trading up. I want one of them to us. Know the talk today has been the Niners maybe trading one of Aiyuk or Deebo and both Pats and Bills were named. Personally I’d steer clear of Deebo, quite a lot of miles on him now and taken a pounding with his style of play.

Couple of really good corners available too with DeJean and McKinstry.

Keon Coleman to Buffalo then. Good player, was a bit wary based on his lack of speed but great size and makes a nice target for Allen.

And we've traded down with the Chargers so they take McConkey. Perfect Keenan Allen replacement, would have loved to draft him.

His speed is my big concern as well and whether he can separate consistently which was an issue for Davis bit annoying Chargers took McConkey with the next pick

And we’ve drafted Polk out of Washington with pick 37. Seems another contested catch guy. Always a little bit of PTSD for us after the N’Keal Harry experience.

Adonai Mitchell fallen down a bit, seems might be a little more to certain character concerns that were highlighted pre-draft.

Very pleased with our day 3 work. Getting Javon Baker has made me really happy. Building an actual offense for Drake Maye. Imagine that actually putting your young QB in position to succeed.

Also took Joe Milton in the 6th. Probably projects as a practise squad guy but his arm strength is insane. Cleared near enough a 70 yard bomb during the combine, just doesn’t know where it’s going a lot of the time.

Happy with our picks we filled a lot of our needs our last pick was interesting taking Travis Clayton who I think is the first player drafted from the IPP since Jordan Mailata

Our draft now complete with TE Jaheim Bell in the 7th round. Made 8 picks in total of which 7 have been on offense. It’s a new era for the Pats as think Belichick would have broken into a cold sweat at the thought of doing that. Only thing I’m a little unsure on is the tackle we drafted has played all his college career on the right and we’ve just signed Onwenu to a new deal to do that. Seems thin on the left so will see how they address it.

The pick that was used on Milton was the one we got for Mac from the Jags. Two polar opposite QB’s you couldn’t begin to imagine.
