The Chesterfield fan who took ill during the first half is responding well to treatment, great news.

Anyone seen them chirpy chesterfield fans from pre season? Can't remember their names, onejacklester I think. Bigging up O'Grady saying Rheads not a patch on him etc etc.

Well O'Grady wins the donkey battle by far think he's only scored 2 and Rheady's notched about 10. Had a bet with a couple of them no wonder they've scarpered.

You're welcome Grimsby.

Lincoln's second goal popped up on the vidiprinter on my phone just after our injury time equaliser did, certainly made my fish and chips taste all the sweeter, cheers Lincoln. :bg1:

Hopefully the Chesterfield fan makes a full recovery. It was a bit weird when I was checking the HT scores to see our game was suspended.

Seems like another poor first half but better second. We've really got to get out of that habit because we're making it a bit difficult for ourselves in a similar way that we seemingly like the opposition to score first.

Not been in front away from home at half time all season, very odd.

Got to say, for a team that's almost certainly going down, Chesterfield draw a crowd don't they. Equivalent period in our relegation season we had acres of empty seats.

We're about 1500-2000 down on where we have been but the fans are still turning out in decent numbers. We are heading down so I suspect the crowd will be a lot more sparse next season.

Probably won't be at the start, the novelty factor of playing teams you've never heard of might draw decent numbers at first before the grim reality of what it's really like sets in.

I know he doesn't post anymore, but does Son of Cod still read this message board?

I'm desperate to remind him he thought we had absolutely no chance of finishing in the play-offs

I thought you'd be nailed on for automatic, because it looked a weak division, which it is, so I think you are underperforming. I also put money behind this view and bought in the spread points index at 71. So you need to get more than 71 points, having gained none this coming Saturday...

Our strike force is Matt Green, Matt Rhead and Ollie Palmer. We're not under-performing!

We're doing exactly as I predicted, in and around the play-off spots which is what we've been doing for the last 3 or 4 months now.

I'm not interested in predictions now, the time for those is over; I'm interested in hard cash - will you or will you not exceed 71 points...?

There's some crackers if you go back to pre season.

Vinny telling me Grimsby are too good to go down was one. Fishbreath stating they would 'no way be in a relegation battle' . People were predicting playoffs for them as well crikey.

Grimsby will be nowhere near playoffs. Think they're about 5th favourites to go down with the bookies which is about right. Not enough value though 8/1 so I had a little flutter on them matching last season's tally of 3 different managers in one season. Quietly confident.

I was actually in a really confident mood for this season but the news about Jamey Osborne has quenched my optimism a bit to be honest but we will be fine, no way will this team be in a relegation battle.
Mid table finish with a few cracking away days thrown in will do me just fine this season.

Umm......... (cough) :animatedf:

In my defence though I've also been saying since 7 or 8 games ago that we are gonna go down even when we were around 12 - 15 points clear of the relegation zone. :hypo:
