Another game another 3-5-2 formation that doesn't work another game we won't win. We have a staggering 3 wins since January and yet he still persists playing this way serving up turgid uninspiring dogshite performances which are driving the attendances further down every week. I can't see anything changing anytime soon, he's too pigheaded to admit he's wrong and our board is the polar opposite of pro active

Our mutual dislike (is that strong enough?) of the wife beater can form the foundation for a miserable moan-fest on a dour, barren and soulless South Yorks industrial/retail site. Apparently there's even a lake available if it all gets too much for us.

I'm trying (and failing) to keep the positive vibes going 3 games into the season but the performance and venue on Saturday drained all positivity. Roll on bank holiday weekend and a chance to meet some old friends and knock Luton off their perch - or at least wallow in some proper disappointment if we lose.

In the absence of a L2 quality striker to lead the line, we might find the odd goal from somewhere, so the best I can hope for is a disappointing 1-1.

Hoping that Mingoia is fit and Newton & Maris can make an impact from the bench. If we're still in the match at half-time, we have a chance. We'll go 4231 and Norris will play if fit but my team would be

Gregory, Long, Legge, Coulson, Adams, Dunne, Berry, Clark, Mingoia, Williamson, Piggot .

It's not quite an industrial estate it does have shops, pubs and yes a lake.

We're coming in by train, what boozer's are good near the train/bus station (I assume there is nothing particularly good out near the ground)? Google has not been my friend.

Expect a good few changes from us tonight, enforced and unenforced. We haven't tended to play shit two games in a row for a while and we're one game removed from a 10 game unbeaten run, so I'm still optimistic, 1-0 win.

I usually go to footballgroundguide for a steer. Bit thin on this occasion. It'll be Blyth Services or the Belle Vue for us.

"Ian Dutton a visiting Wigan Athletic fan adds; 'If going by train then in the town centre there is an excellent pub called the Cask Corner. It is a fantastic pub which is about a ten 10 minute walk from railway station. It serves a number of real ales and ciders. It doesn't offer food but you are allowed to bring in your own. The pub was so good that I nearly missed the kick off!' This pub which is listed in the CAMRA Good Beer Guide is located on Cleveland Street. Also near to the station is the 'Railway Pub' on West Street, which is also popular with visiting fans."

There's the Tut and Shive with the Corner Pin next door just outside the Frenchgate centre which serve real ale and ciders. There are pubs around the market area, The Red Lion being a Wethers which has had a massive makeover and stopped being an alkie pub. There is the Lakeside which is a Beefeater around the corner from the ground which serves Black Sheep but in plastic beakers. On the other side of the lake is the Cheswold but it's been a long time since I was in there. Hope that helps and yes the Cask is good, there are some other pubs around the Waterdale area but I've not been in them to comment

Need a performance tonight, I'm more in hope than anything else though, im really not confident about getting anything but as Tom says we don't usually have two gash performances in a row.

A rather hopefull 1-1

Well Fergie's latest interview states the players have got to get used to playing the wing back system, yeah the one that has provided 3 wins since January and bored the tits off me you utter fucking prick :bang:if Cambridge don't win then they must be shite.

We're gonna stuff the fuckers. 4-0. I didn't go to Colchester so in my mind we're still unbeaten and have knocked a Championship side out of the league cup. It's a good start!

I've not gone tonight either so a defeat won't stop my blind optimism.

A win at last and dominated the game although nearly threw it away at the end

Crap, that's about as much detail as I want to go into. Totally deserved home win.

Easy and convenient parking on the industrial unit (£4). Warm welcome at the Belle Vue. Pints, pies, peas and gravy were excellent quality and value for money. Down hill all the way after that. Oh, liked the 1977 programme insert.

Toothless attack - we actually had fewer chances than Saturday. I have to agree -
