Reading the Stevenage forum they have this down as our cup final because we've sold 1200 tickets.

I notice their cup final was last week at Barnet and took 500 fans. Let's hope we can get something from this to keep our momentum going. I'll go for a score draw here.

Strange lot the Chavs eh? Don't know about my fellow U's fans but there are several other games that I look more forward to. IOW, it's certainly not my cup final.

Am expecting another defeat there, so will gladly take a point. Having said this, their home record is poor so if we really want to make the playoffs then we should be looking at a wi.....better stop there, it's Stevenage away after all.

I really dislike Stevenage as a club and I hope we beat them. In order of clubs I dislike at this level:

Wycombe
Stevenage
Portsmouth
Luton
The rest

It's not that I hate any of them (not in the way I hate Peterborough), it's just that the first three always seem to beat us through game management while Luton just get on my tits as we seemed to play them all the time for a couple of seasons.

But I don't hate them and therefore this is no cup final. If anything, our sell out v Leeds is our cup final. Sorry Stevenage, you're not Leeds no matter what you might think.

I'd love to stick one over them though. We've not won there for nine years and we've put in some god awful performances since then which their chavvy prick fans lap up. We owe them one.

Please don't take anything you read on that forum seriously, I can imagine there's some equally embarrassing stuff on yours!

As for the game... a fixture we usually do well in, but we are properly gash at home currently, I'd certainly take a draw.

Not for me this one, not just because I hate the place but family takes over this year.

I have some horrible memories from this place, cup replays and going down to 9 men with one of the worst ref performances known to man, lost 2-1, the 4-1 beating in the Conf with dean holdsworth up top was also another horrible horrible day, the list is pretty endless, just the one good memory in the jockey convery leaping like a salmon but that seems like a long time ago now.

Need to win but I'd take draw 1-1

Beginning to regret missing this. It could be so cathartic if we can get both Crawley and Stevenage bogies out of the way this season and put to rest the memories of that 4-1, featuring "Brylcream Boy" Dean Holdsworth. Hope Our Mutual Friend opens it's doors for those travelling.

We've won at Stevenage and Crawley in the last 2 months and hell hasn't frozen over, remarkable!

Yesterday was the worst we've played in a while, all 3 goals were preventable, but I think we just edged it, though a draw probably would've been fairer, but Stevenage have done more than enough shite over the years that my level of sympathy stands at well below zero

Roberts was absolutely top drawer yesterday, as was Halliday, and another thumping finish from Mingoia, lovely stuff. Bring on a good day in the capital on Saturday.
