Quite like Portsmouth. Big club but their fans don’t act like they are. Not like Wigan or Blackburn. Always being good numbers and noise here too.

Quite like Fleetwood, been to watch them a few times when they've played on a Friday/Sunday.

Outside of this league, Accrington and whichever team Burnley are playing.

Wigan are different to both us and Pompey, they aren't a big club but their fans act like they are.

Quite like Shrews and Sarfend, as I have mates who support both. Mind you, I also have mates who support Bury (not too bad) and Oldham (iffy, but tolerable)...

Also, somehow.forgot about Plymouth (another mate's team). And years ago on holiday in Crete me and my mates teamed up with four Walsall fans, who were cracking blokes.

So that's about 25% of the opposition who I like...:)

Walsall.
They are just like us in so many ways, decent fans too.

Portsmouth.
Proper fans,club,ground and city.

(sorry fellow Shakers!)
Rochdale.
Well run club , always play some decent stuff ,nearby and a decent away stand.
I'm not interested in bovva , so I have a few beers and some banter and enjoy it!

I assume the lack of votes in our favour is that either you think we’re simply just unlikeable, or that you’re that sick of seeing us in this fucking league.

Edit: Or both.

From a supporters perspective Walsall...I have been their numerous times both in their supporters club bar and in the pubs around the stadium and they really the friendliest football fans you will ever meet

From a footballing perspective Northampton...although their supporters are obviously inbred cock wombles, their players have obviously received the e-mails about the Peterborough United superiority and just lay over like our total bitches every time they play us. It's the best and most obvious 6 points on a plate every season. Bless 'em.

Walsall for me. Always enjoyed our games there. Shrewsbury was generally a good away day as well.

Other leagues: Carlisle as their fans are easy to troll for something they must hear all the time and have family nearishby. Also Barnsley, as if our game was rubbish we'd turn around and watch the local games or bowls behind (can't do that now ). The reactions of participants in those games was always amusing including the bowls.

I quite like most of the clubs in this div. In the main, clubs are struggling manfully to balance the books and put a decent team out on the pitch. Only exceptions are:

MK Dons (obviously)
Wigan (only because of Paul Cook)
Plymouth (mainly because of Derek Adams)

None of the clubs in this division are as big as the one that topped it last year. In fact there are no big clubs at all, just ones with potential.

Every has to love Walsall surely?

I like Pompey too (for the reason that like someone mentioned above how they're a big club but don't act like it). But when we play Pompey, I hate them, for some reason, they really wind me up

The only clubs in league 1 I quite like are
Rotherham United- met a few fans and they are down to earth and none threatening to us Sheffielders, local side that I like to see do well.
Plymouth Argyle- have family in Plymouth, big potential, very isolated, great away support. Biggest club that’s never been in the top flight so would love to see them there one day.

Wouldn’t say I like these clubs but do respect them as they are what I call “proper” football clubs and “proper” fans. Clubs that have a large number of loyal fans compared to their on field success or clubs that are shit and know they are.

So respects to
Bradford City- I know it’s cheap tickets but any club with a lower league pedigree that can regularly pull in 20K supporters is impressive
Portsmouth - always had a large hardcore loyal support, a Southern club with northern working class values.
Oldham Athletic - must be so so tempting to support one of the Manchester giants, good away numbers.
Bury - very impressive pre war history, many seasons in the top flight and cup finals, it seems those days will never ever return.

Blackburn aren't a big club either.

Clubs like Blackburn and Bolton haven’t been “big clubs” for decades
However the reason both fans have high opinions of theirselves is that both clubs DO have an impressive big club history/ tradition.

To be fair to Bolton and Blackburn history/ tradition. and longevity is significant, that’s why Wigan are still considered a small club because they’ve virtually no history, still done really well though and achieved great things in a short space of time.

Aside from Plymouth, as already mentioned, I don't mind anyone else in this division apart from Franchise.

Wasn't too enamoured with Rotherham whilst Fatty was in charge, but OK now

Yeah, they've really shown what a rich owner can do.

Only club I have any sort of feeling against in this Divison is Pompey. We've had some good battles the last few years, us beating them in the 92nd minute in the play off semis and then them beating us on goal difference to the title. Enjoy playing them but hate losing to them.

And of course, we've both got dockyards and that.
