Signed Genaro Snijders. He's fast. Fear us.

No doubt that his end product is wank, but i'm still happy with this one. We needed a pure pace merchant, few players with plenty of quality but a lack of pace, so useful to have someone the other way round.

He's been dogger for a few years hasn't he?
Well apart from the fact he played 40 games last season for a team that gained automatic promotion from this division ?
He's a very solid league two player

I would not write Palmer completely off but for us to get a fee for him is great business all considering.

Matt Taylor has signed for Newport on a one year deal following his release by Cheltenham.

We've just signed Josh Simpson, rejected a new deal at Crawley.

Another very good acquisition.

We'll be a force this season under Derek Adams, quietly building a strong side.

Yes that's an excellent signing. He's had a good career since leaving us as a kid. One that got away...

We've signed Kyle de Silva, ex-Palace midfielder, and Adam Campbell, ex-Newcastle striker. Both likely to be ones for the future rather than straight in the team but both have decent pedigree.

Happy that Henderson has gone, didn't mind him as a player and he'd have done ok for us at this level.

But he was awful value for money for us, he is 33 (nearly 34) years old and was on £10k per week and is very very injury prone. He missed 5 months of the season for us last season and it badly cost us, it looks like the club don't want to make the same mistake again because no doubt he'd have been injured for a long spell at least once during the season.

I'd rather we spent his wages on 3-4 players who can contribute more to the squad as a whole, rather than one player who is injury prone.

Ollie Palmer is clearly not a very good replacement, infact I'd say its an awful replacement. But we'll probably get more value from Ollie than we did from Henderson. The fact Becchetti's first transfer fee is for a striker with an awful goal scoring record at this level says it all about us as a club.

The new highest paid player in this division is now Jobi McAnuff on £7k per week:

De Silva is a strange one. I wondered what he done in the 2 years since his brief loan spell with us, and having Googled him, I can see that it was his loan spell with us that was his last first team action (apart from 20 minutes in a League Cup game for Palace 2 years ago).

He looked quite lively in the very short amount we saw of him, three games, one of which he was sent off 10 minutes after coming on. Looked a little lightweight, but skillful. I thought he'd go out on loan again to continue his development, so I'm surprised to find that he never did.

I thought Alex was due to be joining Yeovil? When called upon he wasn't up to the challenge and not worse, not prepared nor focused.
Matt Robinson has some ability, but I'm not sure whether he's a L2 player long term.

It's an excellent deal for us. Personally I think League 2 is probably a level beyond Ollie It will be interesting to see where we reinvest Ollies wages + fee Personally I would like to see us bring in another centre back as i feel we are light in that area.

2 points on Campbell

A. He's described as a winger. Interesting cause I always thought he was a striker

B. 5'7, Snidjers is al a short arse as is Aborrah. Hope we don't have too many more like this lined up. What's the hold up with Jenner

This may be taken badly but I think both could easily be more than capable at this level - with a different club. There's a lot of pressure at Luton with a club that behind the scenes clearly want to be much higher asap and an expectant pretty large crowd who want it even quicker/more. Both players are young and have promise - probably the two brightest of all our development players both came close to breaking into the side long term. Lacey season before last was arguably seen as a starter. With a decent run, if well managed, either or both could easily flourish and do really well.

We just didn't want to, or perhaps didn't think we have the luxury of waiting to see IF it could happen, when we can afford to go out and buy the future product, rather than waiting to develop it. Now we just have to wait and see if we have. Sincererly hope all the released players, but especially those two, go on and have good careers.

I think Orient will struggle this season, Palmer looked a handful when I watched Grimsby last season on tele but based on what Mansfield fans say, it looks iffy.

I'd go along with that above. But Alex did himself no favours at all. If you're on the bench, you should expect to come on. Not be shocked and surprised when called into action. A couple of times last season he came on, was unfit and not focused and cost us a couple of times. You can't afford to do that at this level.

To be fair if the kid was unfit on the bench then the medical staff aren't doing their jobs properly. They should be able to tell, 99 times out of 100 anyway.

Adam Campbell reminds me of happy times spent playing Football Manager... for quite a few years he had the highest potential of any English player on the whole game!

Never seen him play in real life, though his career to date suggests that he probably won't turn out that way. Still, it will be interesting to see what he's like at this level.

Glad he has gone, wrong place wrong time unfortunately. He's still young and might come good but he was nowhere near L2 standard with us.

Also his and his birds outburst on facebook has been comical to read. Just showing how ungrateful he was giving we gave him the opportunity.

This is Matt Robinson. He's marginally better at football, I suppose.

Anyway, I went on the Daggers forum to see if there were any views on the performances of Lacey and Kamikaze himself. I see there's a poster on there who thinks Scott Doe is in training with us. Any idea where that has come from Daggers fans? Not even been a slight whisper on our end I don't think.

Our chairman's on...again. Campbell and De Silva both signed for the new reserve team we're running this season and are for the future not the here and now.

Number 10 to be announced tomorrow (probably Aborah) and also trying to sign our 'number 9' - confirmed we're still talking to Theo Robinson and Craig Davies (although that's only because someone asked him about them, rather than him specifically bring them up)

I've heard/seen rumours in the past 5 days that Doe is training with Eastleigh, Stevenage, Luton and Mansfield so make of that what you will, whatever/whoever he's training with it's clear that there's a fair bit of interest around him.

We've also got Bayan Fenwick (ex Palace) on trial, not a clue what he's like but we seem to get the odd Palace trialist every couple of seasons or so.

Think Doe has only even been linked with us because we do need another centre back or two. Can't see it being anything more than message board talk.

Palmer has always thought he was better than he was, Can't really blame him for not wishing us well after some of the stick he has got but his little pop at Matt Green on his Facebook page was brilliant.

Bet he's out on loan before the season ends. I genuinly thought despite Orient's off field woes that with the money there they'd be in for a decent season. I just hope he's no more than a squad player.

It's a mystery to me what De Silva was sent off for in that match!
