Only two games left!? Blimey, how time flies, for some reason I thought it was three.

Sadly, it looks bleak for Notts because I can't see Port Vale and Cambridge doing them much in the way of favours, but you never know, they've had some surprise results of late.

Relatively chilled, me. Very much viewing it as just another division for us to find a way to be terrible in.

I'm already resigned to the fact i'll be on this forum next season. I'll also be putting money on us to go down to National League South this time next year.

given the less than impressive form of the bottom 3, if anyone can get 1 win they will probably stay up

Notts fan here, after an absolute steaming turd of a season we have looked certain for the chop for a very long time the only surprise is how we still have a minute chance of survival which we have long written off. 3 managers, allowing Darren Fletcher to have a say in recruitment, an egotistical chairman who even exposed himself online we have the lot and are a complete basket case.

I imagine we will be down for a while so thought I'd try and get aqauinted! What should we expect in non league? Our home and away support has been good this year all things considered we have averaged well over 6k at home and most weeks have taken healthy followings, recently we've taken 1200 to Crewe and have currently sold 1900 to Swindon on Saturday, for the run of the mill awayday we tend to average around 450 but I'd expect many more to be ticking off new grounds next year.

No qualms about being relegated the owner deserves it, the players who are very handsomely paid deserve it. Worst Notts side I've ever seen but the fans don't! Quite looking forward to ticking a few new grounds off. I've already visited Torquay, Stockport, Wrexham, Chesterfield, Barnet, Dagenham, Borehamwood and Sutton.

I am genuinely sorry that you lot will be here next season.

The football is shit, most of the grounds are shit and you’ll probably lose at many of them at least in the first season.

Other than that, it’s brilliant.

Just so it doesn't come as a shock, you'll have to prepare yourself for going away to Boreham Wood on a Tuesday night in August and getting beat 3-0.

Commiserations to Yeovil and Notts, both clubs need to get their shit in order behind the scenes. We did that quickly and got back within two years - We've had some luck though with our chairman being a lifelong fan and a sensible business man.

You either get in a manager who knows this league, or you have to slowly learn the ropes. Be prepared for lots of time wasting and the worst part of NL football - The officiating, they don't do common sense and at times can be easily bullied.

You also have to quickly switch mindset and understand that just because Boreham Wood will only bring 20 fans, some teams are part time and others have 3G pitches - Doesn't mean you will beat them..............

Be an interesting couple of weeks with a new owner and presumably a new manager, can’t see how Ardley can keep his job now.

My current thoughts are that the entire squad can be fired into the sun, but I wouldn’t be surprised if a new manager takes a different view. There’s a reason that they were just about everyone’s favourites to win League Two this season, but equally there a lots of reasons why they’ve been relegated.

I've never been particularly bothered by who's fallen into the non-league abyss (except maybe Hartlepool as they have a place in Southend hearts for that goal against Brentford in 2006) but I am genuinely sad that Notts County are now in the National League.
Hope the change of ownership goes through as quick as possible because as seen previously the clubs that come down in a mess do not get out of this division quickly.
Good luck Notts, hope you're back soon.

Which teams are still part time?

I went to Wrexham the year you went down, we lost 1-0 and it looked like we were going but Mansfield collapsed and we scrabbled over the line.
Can't believe it's twelve years ago.

To the County fan who told me "well, you deserve to get relegated with a ground like this" back in the day, funny how things turn out, huh? :ds:
