Must be extra painful considering they've been comfortably sat in the top 6 for 85% of the season, matbe another season they'd have probably just clung onto a play off spot. However when the two teams chasing you down are 1st and 2nd in the form table that's quite unfortunate.

Yeah it's poor from us but when you run out of steam, would have taken a lot of luck to win the play-offs (especially with Jansson suspended). Absolutely fair play to the rest of the teams, they really turned it on when it mattered.

Teams sussed us out and when you lack a bit of quality/options, it can be hard to find a plan b. We don't have any game changers on the bench and yet again we fucked up in January.

Frightening similarities to 2010/11. Top 2 in December, failed to strengthen when it was obvious we needed to in January, and missed out on goal difference in 7th. Think you only needed 68 points that year, too, so unlucky in that respect.

Wouldn't be like Leeds to learn from mistakes, though, which is why we'll probably start again with a new manager/squad in August.

Can't wait to have to shell out £37 to go to Elland road.:ffs::ffs:

So how can the prem do away tickets for £20?
Are Leeds not taking the piss?
Are you taking the piss?? The PL clubs don't need ticket money, our clubs do, not defending the price or owt but more of an explanation.

I'm not a taking the piss. Do they need to charge up to 40? I know we all need the cash, but you cut your cloth accordingly - hence we charge £20.

BTW Prem away tickets are capped at £30, when you get upwards of 40m a season it's easier to do that, clubs in our league don't get that so to buy better charge more, to home, and away supporters.

Huddersfield it is then, away first and then at home. Got to be confident here done the double over them and they are in shocking form, a -2 goal difference and sat 5th in the league suggests we shouldn't struggle to score goals against them. Jordan Rhodes is a certainty to score at some point.

Said a few months ago that I fancied Sheff Wed and still do, would imagine them and Fulham will be the final.

With how good Fulham are going forward against that Reading defence, the tie could be over aftet the first leg.

as if you needed 80 points this season to break the top 6, that will never happen again

last season our 75 points would have been enough :(

With 26 wins this season, we have had as many as the previous two seasons combined (13 each).

Whatever the conclusion, this has been a fantastic season for us.

Annoyingly, we've finished third but drawn against the team I believe to be the best in the playoffs.

Won't be with us next season anyway by the looks of it! Out of contract and just about everything he tweeted after the game seemed to suggest he's off. To where I'm not sure.

Disappointing way to end an incredible season but a smashing weekend in Birmingham nonetheless. Seriously looking forward to watching the play-offs this time without the fear of actually being I'm them.

David "best in the league" Stockdale. Absolute fucking fraud, not even in the top 10.

Agree, never rated him and he seems error prone every time I've seen him. Lucky for Stockdale he has a very good defence infront of him.

We are missing Gary Hooper for the semis at least, not good for our chances, he's pivotal.

I didn't realise how much Wednesday had used Hooper this season until a conversation at the weekend and how much of a contribution he'd made - always assumed 1FF had been the main man up front with a combination of Fletcher/Winnall and Rhodes.

Of all the positions on the pitch, you're hardly short of options and still would pose a credible threat.
