When do Virgin tend to announce that?

Last few years it's been start of July. Sign up on their website and they'll email you when it's starting, normally only on for 2/3/4 days. Got return tickets to Carlisle for £16 a couple years ago.

Back to back league matches with Vale. I'm guessing they'll have a bit more about them than when we put 5 past them in May - if only because Leon will be at the heart of the defence.

Pleased to tick off a new ground as I missed out last season. Toughish start should give reality check by the time we get into September and I've disappeared into the Bolivian jungles.

Being CEO of the 1FF Wablo Society for as long as I have very rarely did I set foot in the L2 forums, so I'm not sure whether what you've said above is to be classed as 'banter' or is in fact informative....

Dont know if its banter but in my experience following latics ( since 1976 ), it will be our Blackpool type of away game, nice weather, local, new ground booze buses and Bunn, Rhodes, Baxter and more giving a feel good factor I think it will feel like a home game.

Yeovil fans, don’t get excited about coming to the Lane on a Saturday (Aug 18th).
That will be either postponed or moved to the Friday (doubtful due to LCup on Tuesday)
England are at Trent bridge so no way it can be played.
Also our game at home to Cambridge in Jan will be either Friday or Sunday as F***** are at home as well (unless their game is selected but sky on a Sunday.

Well we took 1851 there last season and 1996 the season before. Considering the stadium only holds just over 6,000 then I doubt that they normally have 2,000 allocated for away fans.

If more positive moves are made pre season by AL then I think we could take around 3000

Notts County the week before Christmas for us again! Not to be suspicious or anything but something makes me think they don’t want our fans travelling in numbers again...

If they were that arsed then they’d just move it to a lunchtime kick off like they do with the Mansfield games, just be a quirk of the fixture list.

Bit like how weve got you away twice over Christmas now since there was trouble a few seasons ago.

Odd how we always seem to get Notts county at home before we go there.

Id fully expect the plod to move our games against you Lincoln Andy Grimsby to 1pm again, possibly Northampton but can’t see it. Didn’t lose any of the 8 early kick offs last season so happy to keep it as it is

We've got four fixture clashes with Stoke City (Carlisle probably the most likely to be moved as they play PNE so same trains).

We've started to play at home on occasions at the same time now depending on the opponents after trailing it a couple of times last season so will have to see if any get moved.

MK Dons (H) is the most depressing start possible (except MK away).

Fans of FGR & Morecambe - what do your away ends hold? I'm thinking we'll sell both of these out given that FGR is the opening away day for us and Morecambe is on August BH weekend.

Here we go again . We are away from them for 4 seasons and come back to find Oldham are still obsessed about their away support. If I was them I would be far more worried about their home attendances which on average last season was 700 less than ours yet 2 divisions above us.

Quite happy with the Alex's fixtures and how they work out. Yeah, there are some long trips on Tuesdays, but how many were going to places like Cambridge, Yeovil and Colchester anyway? Colchester always seems to be on a Tuesday, feels like the 3rd or 4th time thats happened.

Start at home and have a chance to pick up some points early. Don't also seem to have any really tough stretches at any point. Could shake out differently of course, but hard to be unhappy with how these fall.

Echo what JJ says about Crewe , similar for us.
Midweek at Carlisle, Stevenage and Yeovil. In reality definitely 2 of the worst away days whatever day of the week so that'll do me fine.

Worst scenario was Mansfield, Notts County, Tranny at night as these will be good beer days on a Saturday.
I'd of gone Carlisle on a Saturday but the other two have had my one and only visit.

3,000 hahaha come off it. You don’t even take that to Rochdale 4 miles away. You only just get more than that at home.

Don’t get me wrong, Oldham’s away support as a % of their gates is great... but Christ there’s some delusion there.

On a separate note... Tranmere last away game again. Let’s hope we sell it out and celebrate promotion on their pitch again.

Yeah no way will we take 3,000 there. 2,000 maybe just more if we start off well but that will be it.

I’m actually quite excited about Macc away on 11th August, should be a nice sunny day, stood on one of the very few away terraces left watching football, what’s not to like?
Can’t wait to be honest. :gr:

Unlikely I would have thought. The two clubs are in a very different place to May 2015.

Stevenage and Crawley away are about the worst opening and closing fixtures you could imagine, but I am just glad to be back. Plus, our Christmas fixtures are good.

You never know, it might be the opposite way round this time haha

Midweek NW travelling for us with Tranmere, Carlisle and Oldham on Tuesday's. I wanted to tick Oldham off the list but that'll not happen now.

Looks a tough start for us - Northampton, Swindon, Grimsby, Bury, Notts County. Bit of a mix of games there - relegated sides, PO rivals/losers and local games.

Doesn't look a too bad a March and April based on last seasons positions.

Assuming it's the Lincoln Xmas Market on the days either side of 8th December because we're away.

You play up here on Good Friday (pretty sure it was Easter Monday last season), though we play at yours on a Tuesday. Notts County away is also midweek, shame as they’re two of the closer away days.

Exeter away is a good away day but hardly the start you’d hope for, while Yeovil away to finish the season off is horrific.

The game that stands out for me is Tranmere away a few days after my birthday in March.
