FUCK. Uncharted 2 and Mass Effect 2 have been absolutely shafted here. Had I been able to do a list, the top two spots would have been taken by MGS and MGS4 (Shut the fuck up) but Uncharted 2 would have sat in third, with Mass Effect 2 somewhere near that area as well. You ass hats. How could you let this happen?

Uncharted 2 was my number 1. You should have seen my outrage in the Shoutbox when it was announced as joint 14th. Scandalous!

Mass Effect was my number 2 so nowt to do with me!

Just a suggestion for when this list has finished, as its something that has come up...best ever game series? Would be interesting given that the likes of GTA, Mario, Mass Effect, Zelda etc. have split votes, as well as others like me who ave tried not to include more than one game per series.

I've often considered doing a "best game series" list to see what would happen. Would be pretty interesting. Same with movie series, actually... would change the mentality of it all. Like, I wouldn't put a LOTR film in a top 10, yet if I were doing it with entire series of films I would absolutely include them in there, very highly.

I thought Uncharted were farily poo myself. Linear and boring as fook gameplay wise. Mind, I'd just finished the newer TR when I played them and they're essentially the same game really, so maybe I'd just played too much of that type of game to appreciate it.

Come at me, Oaf.

Pokemon Red and Blue

Released: October 5th 1999
Platforms: Nintendo Gameboy
Metacritic: Dunno
Copies Sold: Probably loads

Pokemon Red and Blue are RPGs developed by Gamefreak for Nintendo's Gameboy and are the first games in the Pokemon. The player takes the role of a would-be Pokemon trainer who begins his adventure in Pallet Town. The player can decide between three start pokemon: The grass type Pokemon Bulbasaur, water based Squirtle or the fire based Charizard. I managed to get all 150 on Pokemon Red. Still think that's the greatest achievement of my life.

I also managed to complete the Pokedex in Pokemon Blue.

I hope this is the highest placed Pokemon game, as it deserves to be.

Eh, Gold/Silver should have been higher, but I'll still take this. The Christmas I got a Gameboy Colour and Pokemon Blue is still one of the best days of my life.

I think the end made most people at least well up. Don't open the below if you don't know how it ends...

I'll never forgive those motherfuckers for killing Lee. He was a fucking fantastic character. Utter, utter fucks. And to give you hope that he could survive by cutting his arm off!?

This was on my list. Pleasantly surprised it made it so high on the list.

Never got around to playing the 2nd season, mind you.

Great game. 2nd season is worth it too. Cried far too much during both of them though...

As somebody who's all over The Walking Dead (read the comics, watch the show, played the games) I actually consider the video game to be the very best thing to come out of the entire Walking Dead family. It's much better than the show and comic book, and I say that as somebody who quite likes those things. But that first season was so surprisingly great... After seeing people on here raving about it, I played it just thinking "oh, I like TWD, I'll probably like this" but I didn't quite expect it to be that good. And while it's true that season 2 doesn't quite match the standard of the first season, it's still outstanding. Can't wait for season 3.

I have The Wolf Among Us sat on my steam, untouched. It's one of those situations where I'm kind of looking forward to playing it so much that I don't actually get around to doing it, because once I've played it that anticipation will no longer be there...

I need Borderlands and Game of Thrones as well. And I can't wait for the Minecraft and Marvel games they've got coming. My God Telltale are about the most exciting developers out there right now...

The Wolf Among Us is good Oaf, you should play that. I think season 2 of that is coming this year too.

The only thing I hate about the episodic games is that I cant wait! So I never start any of them until every episode has been released. Im itching to play Life is Strange, but just wont until they're all out!

That's exactly why I'm always putting these games off  I actually tried to do TWD season 2 upon release with the waits between episodes, and I hated it. So I'm not getting Borderlands/GoT until the full games are released.

I may be mistaken but I'm sure I read that the main guys at Telltale left before S2 of TWD and are designing their own game for Xbox, PC and PS4.

Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare

Released: November 9th 2007
Platforms: Playstation 3, Xbox 360 and PC
Metacritic: 94/100
Copies Sold: 15.7M as of November 2013

Modern Warfare is a 2007 FPS developed by Infinity Ward and published Activision for PS3, 360 and PC. The game breaks away from the World War II setting of previous games in the series and is instead set in modern times, which is probably how they came up with the name of the game. Clever bastards. The story takes place in the year 2011, where a radical leader has executed the president of an unnamed country in the middle east. The story is told from the perspective of a U.S Force Marine and a British SAS commando.

Regarding COD: I wouldn't have it in the top 10, but to be fair it was the start of what has been the biggest thing in gaming for the last decade (even though everybody says it's shit) so it's hardly completely unjustified. Halo came along and made online console gaming good, COD came along and made it massive. Much like with WoW, there are people out there who don't play video games, they just play COD. And Modern Warfare kicked that off with a brilliant multiplayer mode introducing things that are now industry standard. It also had a superb single player mode as well. For all people may moan about COD now that it's a massive deal, there's no denying that Modern Warfare was revolutionary and a superb game.

Regarding FFVII: I sound like a broken record because I'm always saying this, but I didn't play FFVII until about 5 years ago and, even though it's old as fuck (those graphics man!) I still consider it to be one of the best games I've ever played. If you've ever put it off because it's old, fuck that attitude... give it a go, get past the initial "BUT IT LOOKS TERRIBLE!" and stick with it... it'll win you over.

Fallout 3
Released: October 31st 2008
Platforms: Playstation 3, Xbox and PC
Metacritic: 93/100
Copies Sold: Dunno

Fallout 3 is an action RPG developed and published by Bathesda. Fallout 3 takes place in the year 2277, 36 years after the setting of Fallout 2 and 200 years after the nuclear apocolypse that devastated the game's world, in a future where international conflicts between the United States and China culminated in a Sino-American war in 2077, due to the scarcity of petroleum reserves that ran the economies of both countries. The player character is an inhabitant of Vault 101, a survival shelter designed to protect up to 1,000 humans from the nuclear fallout.

When the player character's father disappears under mysterious circumstances, the leader of the Vault initiates martial law and sends security forces after the player, who is forced to escape from the Vault and journey into the ruins of Washington D.C to track their father down. Along the way the player is assisted by a number of human survivors and must battle myriad enemies that inhabit the area, now known as the "Capital Wasteland".
