In an alternate universe the Harrogate Town chairman wasn't such a nepotist and hired an actual manager and Harrogate Town have been playing conference football for a number of years. So frustrating.

Still there is always next year.

We didn't deserve that win. It was a game of 2 good sides cancelling each other out. Then we get one freekick flicked down and a lucky toe punt lobs your keeper. A 0-0 would have been the correct score.

Great win at Chorley. They did create some great positions, but never really could get that final finish to score.

We were superb going forward today, just worked harder than them. Think they expected to turn up and win which helped us......the slight positive for Chorley is it maybe kicks them up backside for run in.

Big Dave, we were battered by Curzon, who gave us a lesson in pacy counter attacking play, we would not have scored if we played till tomorrow, absolutely shocking performance, you made us look like relegation candidates. Hopefully it will be the kick up the arse that is needed.

Good day for Kidderminster, County and Halifax.

We will be relegated next Saturday if we fail to win at Salford

Gloucester 4-0 Alfreton

Sigh. Cannot get my head around us. Only lost 4 at home all season, unbeaten in 9, Only won 4 away all season, only one since September (and the sale of Dan Bradley)

Poor game in truth today on a shocking pitch. Not a great advert for the Conference North at all.
Unfortunately Russ got a few serious tactical decision very wrong today.

Ryan Wilson is not blessed with pace and was torn to pieces at Kidderminster at left back. Despite this he decided to try that again with a perfectly good right back with pace on the bench in Niall Heaton. That decision backfired and to bring on Paul Marshall second half was a terrible decision. He made a hash of a sitter and in the end our fans were chanting get off the pitch to him. Absolute waste of space.

God were are so fortunate to be 9 clear of the relegation zone.

Do us a favour and roll over next week ;)

I think anybody in the playoffs could beat Fylde tbf so IF we managed to turn overtake them I couldn't see them winning the playoffs
Well we rolled over last season and it didn't help either of us

First visit to your ground and really liked it. Weather helped too. Good, competitive performance and just pleased to see us step up and go toe to toe against a good side.
As you say we were unfortunate but there is lays the difference between a promotion chasing side and one that cannot manage out a game.

Binpot- When you have to explain what your posts are about. #Fail

Is that similar to when a club goes bust owing loads of local businesses cash and the starts again only to be funded by local tax payers? #fail #worsethantinpot

Oh and you're still very binpot.

The footballing equivaelent of Bill Murray waking up listening to got you babe. Every season.

Must be unique in football the fc nepotism we have. Shitely unique but unique nonetheless.

Should have won yesterday so much better than Darlington, conceding in the 97th minute though, classic sign of a fucked team.

2 wins since October. :hesk:

Christ we're going to throw it away again aren't we. Reminds me of being 7 points clear of barrow. We've been pretty poor since Christmas. Just goes to show Danny rowe's early blistering form papered over a few cracks that are now beginning to show.

Please, please, please beat Darlington, I can't face playoff agony again

Massive win for County yesterday, not just in the context of other results either.

We were pretty poor for 70 minutes, and Tamworth looked a good side. Was amazed to see their keeper tending to play as a sweeper, he seemed to have more touches than some of the outfield lot. So got to feel a bit sorry for him & the rest of them when County turned it round and won it, but then again we should definitely have had more points from the previous few games so it evens out for us.

Brilliant move for the winner; Winter with the long diagonal pass, Felix somehow managed to hold off the great big centre half before skipping around him and playing the ball in, then Lloyd snaps a shot away past the keeper before he can react in time.

Have a feeling that late, late Darlington equaliser is a dagger to the heart of Gainsborough that. Wins for Telford v Stalybridge and Worcester v Telford and thats curtains for Gainsborough.

Probably but then neither is Halifax.

Imagine knowing you had a never ending tenure of Ferriby's finest. Season after season. Then chuck in to the mix a load of hangers on who can't run a football club and openly show contempt for well meaning fans and volunteers; with the worry about our future when son and therefore father get bored of the that familiar under achieving feeling and head back to donny.

I know you will light a candle for our plight but things used to be so much better in the Aspin days didn't it.

Check. Aspin is a great manager, as everyone but a tiny and rather "special", shall we say, section of our supporters know. Even the B.O.D admit sacking him solved nothing. What on earth possessed him to waste 5 years of his career at Harrogate, I can't imagine. Does he like cream teas? :bdick:

He had queue jumper card for Betty's.

Was indeed a what??! moment when he was sacked at the Shay.

Halifax's sacking aspin is a familiar story. Poor run of form, team pannicks and out of frying pan into the fire with next manager. On another note who is funding harrogate town

Other than a ten minute spell at the start of the second half, that was as easy a win as we've had all season. DarkSith your right, your left back was terrible and was given a torrid time of things throughout. We really should have won by 5 as Hopper missed an open goal from 6 yards out, that said the bobble didn't help. The pitch is a shambles.

Fair play to your support btw, never stopped singing. Ours was very quiet not helped but yet another week going by with sod all ground news.

I was surprised really that you went in lethargic because if any non top 6 side is dangerous at present it is probably BPA or Curzon who both have top 6 form for a long while and can easily throw a spanner in works at present.

Good thing for you was Salford and Darlo slipping up also and it maybe kicking you on for the rest of season......depends how you react, your next game is make or break......but may also be for your opponents!

Very nice ground, and plenty of space for 4th stand if ever promoted

A lunchtime tale for everyone......

Irving Weaver is the Chairman (owner of strata homes) and his son is our manager. Think this is our 8th season with this set up, though i can be forgiven for forgetting as, last season apart, every season is the same.

Strong investment in playing staff and a mediocre return. And repeat.

The turn over of good players is striking. Andi Thanoj, Chib Chilaka, John Paul Pittman, Jordan Robertson are 4 out of 5 key signings this season that haven't stuck at all - not a great record and something repeated most seasons.

Club has come on and credit in certain areas to the current owners - we have two new stands (football trust), a growing kids development structure, better community links and a shiny new 3g pitch (if thats your thing).

Tho sneaking suspicion some of the above is what could have been done by proactive ownership without great wads of cash but that's imho. When the club clearly think otherwise and seem to think we should stand back in wonderment and shut it if and when we do have genuine and impacting feedback on their sometimes naive decisions - ever heard the one about the club that doesn't even share on twitter its clubs fans away travel details? Or allows a player to try and attack a fan, not once but two separate occassions and actually starts picking the chump after the first altercation and drops him on the front page of the programme.

Or bans a core fan (along with loads others!) from its twitter feed cos he had the nerve to complain on twitter at his son not getting a signed shirt he spent his 7th birthday money on sponsoring.......6 months previous, having chased the club 3 times before??! There is a littering of gaffs pretty much every season like this. To fans, or to committed volunteers or even some of its own, non Strata Homes directors at the club. Club just appointed two new Directors last year....also employees of Strata Homes.

It has felt at times this season like a football club equivalent of an oligarchy! Enjoy peasents the money spent but dare you not speak a word in objection to anything.

It's clear with our unique set up that the focus is very much on anything but its fans - we are just along for the father-son ride.

Saw last week on our messageboard someone saying the club are owned by Strata homes, on their balance sheet and is a clear certainty that when manager goes, which will eventually happen, so will the owner - a big double whammy if ever there was one and a sneaking worry of what happens to the debt accrued over these years.

The development of the club off the pitch would say it should be ok but nothing has ever been spoken of what will eventually happen when the manager moves on given both chairman and managers fortunes have publically been flagged as being wholly linked and what legacy the build up of losses year after year will have when this happens; especially as anyone who has visited our ground would say its in a rather nice location.

Thank you. Our excellent support and the very polite generous welcome in the press box from you guys where the best thing about Saturday.

Oh and your programme is absolutely superb. Takings the piss out of our sorry excuse of a "programme".

Unfortunately it looks like a matter of how many when we go to Halifax and Tamworth.
