I was going to say check out the weaving shed at Gigg Mill, bit of industrial heritage and a fuck off great water wheel, but it's closed Mondays :D
You do engage in some strange activities in rural Gloucestershire. In Birkenhead we have a place called Corporation Road, but that's strictly humans only...

Busy old mill town in its day was Nailsworth, think the location on the edge of the Cotswold scarp made for excellent water power. Most of the big old buildings are pubs and flats and whatnot now though.
Off to get my ticket this afty, excitement building!

ETA Got the home and away tickets, steady stream turning up to buy for a Tuesday afty but not exactly crowded.

Oh dear me :ohm:
Liverpool win 4-0 against Barcelona.
Fantastic and I'm chuffed to bits for the Reds but will it further motivate their near neighbours in play offs.
Hopefully not and all on Merseyside's energy has been exhausted.
Besides Tranmere cannot be greedy and steal some of Liverpool's glory.

Our crowds often get bolstered by European Liverpool fans over for their game, but who come over the water for the Tranmere game when they don’t clash. With Red Scouse home the final prem game on Sunday, this might happen, though definitely would have been a bigger crowd if this game played on Saturday.
Liverpool have had enough past glory, it’s hopefully our turn now...

Personally, I find any success for Liverpool nauseating. It will always be detrimental to us, when trying to attract younger fans.

This. An unbelievable comeback but sickening when the winner went in. Can’t help but feeling a spell of Liverpool dominance is on the horizon which would be terrible for our crowds. Bring back Roy Hodgson!

your biggest game of the season.........really?

We're a small club and it's a Friday night, 330+ mile round trip. 4-500 would be a decent turnout for us.

We had 6-700 at Swindon and just under 900 at Cheltenham. Does anyone honestly expect us to bring 1k all the way up to Tranmere?

Clubs with established fanbases really do struggle to understand that clubs who have barely averaged 1,000 for the majority of their history (and I include ourselves in this) don't have massive away followings even for one-off games.

Some of our biggest ever supports (not including Wembley/Millennium Stadium trips) were easily less than a thousand. I'm pretty sure we took well under 1,000 to Torquay on a Thursday night in 2012.

That being said, I'd love to get the official figure of what we took to Notts in 2003, I distinctly remember the PA guy before the game commenting that it was nice to see the away stand full for once.

are you going to change clubs again ? after the playoffs ? who next reading ? or would you return to the gas boys ? swa swa

Been an FGR fan since I was a kid mate, why would I change clubs?

Occasionally going along with mates who were Gasheads when we were away hardly made me a fan lol.
