No-one at present. Terrestrial home being sought, with the package including the Wembley games and the Superbowl, presumably. Lots of chatter about the BBC again, but nothing announced yet.

Our first pre-season game gets under way in an hour. Will be worth a watch while Garoppolo is in the game, could do with giving him at least a half. Am intrigued by seeing his development whether he ends up playing v Pittsburgh or not in the end. Other than that be a nice test for our D against Green Bay.

Lions won 1st pre-season game against the Jets, everyone talking about Ameer Abdullah. Remains to be seen if he can overcome the jinx of Lions RBs since Sanders - been here before in the very recent past with Best and LeShoure - one gone through concussions, the other never got to his college levels after 2 bad injuries including 1 in his very first week of pro practice.
Of course there was also a reason he fell to the Lions in the 2nd round and that is fumbles, I won't believe the hype until he is breezing past defences when the real games start and not losing the ball. If he is the legit RB Detroit has been searching for for 17 years, Ebron grows into the game plan and Lombardi actually appears to have a clue what he wants to do then the Lions O will be tasty this coming season.

Latest is BBC taking Wembley, SB and play off highlights but not SNF.

I know it doesn't make much odds to us Gamepass lot, but those primo games disappearing off terrestrial for the first time in years would be a bit of a disaster per the "growing the game" guff.

well 2nd pre-season game saw a loss to Washington, but that was not the story out of the game - it was the 1st team unit Redskins O against the 1st team unit Lions D. I watched some of it and came away not knowing whether the Redskins O was truly dreadful or the Lions D truly superb, maybe a bit of both, but the Lions broke RG3 - he and his O-Line were appalling. Washington also have the problem of not knowing where Kirk Cousins is. He came on, looked a hell of a lot more competent than RG3 but he didn't have any of the pass rush coming at him as all of the Lions 1st team D had come off by the time he came on.
On the Lions side of things I'm really happy with how the D has performed and the run game, hope it translates when it comes to the real thing.

Added myself to the league.

Packers 2015 I have the same feeling I had at the start of last season. A really good - and balanced - offense with a really good o-line, and a young and improving defence with a smattering of vets to depend on. We had everything aligning last season at the right time before the cock-up in Seattle.

You'll have to excuse my ignorance but how does the draft work in 1FF?

As expected, the QB situation is causing a headache for Bill O'Brien at the Texans, and not the good kind. All the talk of Hoyer and Mallett and the safest bet is probably Tom Savage! Frustrating when the likes of Deandre Hopkins are looking in good knick but there's no-one to hit him.

Like the regular one, more or less. Only one team can have each player, not like fantasy Premier League stylee. Randomised order and done in real time with 2 mins per pick. It's snake order too (ie 1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8-9-10-10-9-8-7-6-5-4 etc etc).

I think Hoyer is probably your safest bet. You can't evaluate much from last night though, they (Mallett and Hoyer) were going up against a very good defence. Either way the Texans are kinda screwed without Arian Foster. Tom Savage is not the answer to any question ever asked.

I agree.

I was just using that to highlight how bad we are in that position right now, although Savage did outperform both last night.

Couldn't agree more about Foster, rotten luck. It's disappointing, watching the game last night, defence and special teams look good (and that's without Watt, Wilfork, Clowney and Cushing) but unfortunately we're not going to score any points.

Re. Texans. Similarly unsure QB situation at Buffalo too. Tyrod, Matt Cassel and EJ all vying to be #1. From what I've seen/heard/read, Tyrod is looking good to start.

Fucketty. Ah well, at least it's not at a position that would truly fuck us and with Adams emergence and the drafting of Montgomery, we should be able to cope. Have seen us use 2xTE sets as well, so the other Rodgers will probably get greater involvement.

Sucks though, Nelson was only just starting to get the plaudits he deserved. Glad we resigned Cobb too, though it wasn't really much in doubt if he wanted to stay.

I don't think Cassel is that bad at all really, him being tied with McCoy should at least take some of the pressure off. Buffalo did really well last season considering they had nothing at QB and RB. Leaning on a defense is one thing, but leaning on it with nowt much on offense and getting a 9-7 is remarkable. I thought Doug Marrone caught too much flak.

In the same vein, could instead go for "The Old Switcheroo"...

The quality is superb, just like watching HD. Perfect timing for when the wife drops a sprog and my waning social life takes a further backstep.

Yup, Okoye is making a case too, I read...might be some bias though, not sure if the writer was British. Nuff respect to them though, to go from being very successful sportsmen and throwing themselves into a sport where they're effectively bottom of the pile takes some guts and ambition.

If Hayne can grab a spot as a returner, core special teamer and 3/4 on the depth chart RB he could forge a pretty decent little NFL career for himself.
