Aye, we've been tripe since the last United game. But when we concede 1 it seems inevitable that we'll go on to concede at least 3.

I'd certainly be interested to see the stats of Liverpool's ability to get back into games where they've fallen behind.

Opposing the pedestrianisation of Norwich city centre!!!!
Sugar: Brenda I like you. You've got a great work ethic, but you seem to struggle with buying the right stock.

Sugar has made a heck of a lot of mistakes in his day, he is not the business deity he thinks he is, and I don't think Spurs fans look on his tenure with great satisfaction either tbh.

I wouldn't piss in him if he was on fire

I've always stuck up for him but I'm now starting to believe that a change his needed. I've never been able to defend his record in the market - On the whole it's appalling. He completely bottled it in the 1st half against United. You seriously cannot play a midfield three of Can, Lucas and Milner and get away with it. Absolute zero creativity or guile. Firmino isn't and will never be a wide player and neither will Danny Ings. For me Rodgers should go back to basics and it needs to be something like the below until Sturridge is back -

Mignolet

Clyne
Skrtel
Sakho
Gomez

Milner
Lucas
Coutinho
Moreno

Firmino/Ings
Benteke

Play Lucas as the defensive midfielder as he's the only specialist Liverpool have got for that role, Coutinho can play behind the two forwards with Moreno and Milner providing the width. The latter has a decent cross on him which should only benefit Benteke, who has barely had a cross to attack in the box for us so far. I think Can has faded badly after a promising start last season and still has an awful lot to learn.

Rodgers is now favourite to be the next manager to lose his job.

Tick tock.

I've supported him all along but the next few matches are critical, if they cannot start winning in them they will be in serious trouble if he continues. I think FSG are looking at the next few weeks closely, they'd be fools not to.

Not many I should imagine, and certainly not me.

Liverpool should do everything they can to bring in Jurgen Klopp. I'm absolutely certain it will be a job that interests him as Liverpool and Dortmund are similar clubs in some ways.

Have to say, FSG are very patient and decent owners. He'd have been sacked long ago by just about any other foreign owner bar Randy Lerner.

If you were Klopp would you want to go there?
Much more attractive jobs will become available to him by the Summer you'd have thought.

Nonsense. Liverpool is still a huge club, and the chance to possibly make them great again would be tempting for any manager. The owners clearly back the manager which is another plus for any potential manager.

He's an idiot. Needs a winger. Buys a good prospect in Markovic for £20mil. Plays him wing back for the majority of his game time. Loans him out. New season. Somehow manages to attract Firmino to a declining team. One of the top attacking midfielders in Europe over the last few years. Plays him on the right in a defensive minded 5 man midfield. Completely obsessed with jamming square pegs in round holes, rather than addressing his sides issues like any sane human would.

Complete and utter clown.

I saw the first half of the United/Liverpool game and I had terrible flashbacks of the Liverpool team to Brendan's Reading team.

Weird, because every other time I've seen Swansea/Liverpool under him I wonder how it was done by the same manager we had.

Rodgers will probably be sacked soon, and rightly so.

After Suarez was sold it showed clearly that he doesn't have a game plan or a plan B when it doesn't work out.

Said in the media fairly recently that if he comes back, he wants a challenge. Liverpool are a great compromise in that respect. Still a fairly big club on the world stage but have underachieved for a long time. I think it's exactly the sort of job he'll ultimately go for.

Liverpool are about a Spurs-sized club. Similar league positions over the past five years. Similar trophy count over the past five years. Slightly larger stadium. Slightly larger wage bill. In the Europa League. Hamstrung by their resources, playing catch-up to the SuperClubs who make up last season's top four. Huge history, yes, but not a huge club anymore.

You're gonna have to point out to me which bit was nonsense. The question or the idea that a more attractive job might be available in the summer, y'know like Real if Benitez has a poor season, or Bayern if Pep leaves at the end of his contract at the end of the season as expected, hell maybe even Man City if Pellegrini doesn't actually win them the league. Then there's always clubs like Milan or Inter who are big guns in a league where achieving CL football looks easier than it does for Liverpool to qualify as there's no established top 3 year in year out, who could look for a new manager if they yet again fail to do well, like Liverpool. But no, Liverpool is obviously more attractive than anyone else could be because....well because.

Yes it is maybe a job he would be interested in. Not holding out hope on him arriving however if Rodgers were to depart. They'd probably go in for Eddie Howe !

I think a challenge would be taking over at Arsenal and wrestling the league away from the current status quo. A challenge would be making Man City a real European contender. A challenge would be taking over at Milan and knocking Juve off top spot in a similar fashion to how he won the title with Dortmund. These are challenges. Doing something with Liverpool would require a fucking miracle.

Liverpool have a squad that can compete for the top three imo however Rodgers has never found a way since Suarez left of getting everything he can out of the players. It needs tinkering a bit and I'm unsure he is the man now to get the balance correct.
