O'Donnell you stupid fucking c***.

Not a chance of turning this around, nothing in the way of movement off the ball or anything like that. They're bigger, quicker and stronger than us.

Waste of time this.

Utterly clueless.

Wank performances for over a month now, getting incredibly tedious.

Individuals not at it: Gary "5 yard sideways pass" O'Neil was awful, Golbourne as ineffective as ever and O'Donnell's an absolute toilet (as is Fielding, can't stand either of our keepers, though he's been alright this season).

Fair play to Brighton, class travelling support and everything we're aiming to be, and this was without arguably the best player in the league playing for them.

Brum and Reading up next. Sigh.

One word - WIDTH. We've got several pacey wide players make use of them, rather than asking them to cut inside all the time. The amount of times we were on the attack and all our players were within the width of the 18 yard box was ridiculous.

Also, that game shows the value of a top goalkeeper. Have one, and we don't concede from their first 2 chances and give ourselves a mountain to climb.

But credit to Brighton, they're the perfect recipe for a Championship side: very well organised, pace on the wings and a focal point up top in Murray

Dunk and Duffy can take Abraham out of their pockets now.

I thought City were a good side? That's what i've been hearing.

Did Stockdale have to make any proper saves ?

Fucking lovely. Proper buzzing tonight

We simply arnt good enough, to slow with no width. Brighton didn't get out of second gear yet made it look easy. Little is painful to watch and god knows what's happened to Bryan this season as he's been just as bad. The centre midfielders are too defensive and buckled when put under any pressure. Pack must be slightly aggrieved, and Reid should gave started. Smith and GON were both too deep, looking to get the ball of the centre half's. There was no link between them and Tomlin and co.

I don't see what Engvail has to do to get on, as thought he was one of our best players against Hull. Seems a strange signing. Thought LJ took to long to change things.

Ahwell all my enthusiasm has disappeared after the last months performances.......oh and still no goal in the first half at home. That's piss poor.

Pack and Reid's a perfect balance in midfield. I'd go with Smith and Reid at home though. O'Neil and Smith hasn't worked.

So many fucking combinations, needs to settle on a team and stick with it.

Just 19k there despite having a good season and refurbishing Ashton gate. This is exactly why you didn't need a new ground like i said ages ago. You simply couldn't pull in 25k and upwards crowds like us. 20k capacity is about right for you lot.

Where the fuck have you been 7-8 years previous? Old precious track field was it? And for that matter, your entire history??

I did actually watch the game on TV after my City supporting mates telling me of your very good team and the way you play. Well Well I cannot believe how slow ( especially in midfield ) you are. Did the Brighton goalie have a serious shot to save ? Your own goalkeeper -- Did he take a bung ? That Brighton full back Bruno -- Class act.
Cider Up said you were a million miles ahead of us __ Don't think so. At least we would have worked the goalie. At least your performance made X factor look good.
Brighton will go all the way.Good team with a very solid defence.

Can't really complain about being constantly overlooked by sky after that performance mind.

We looked good first 10 minutes, however when Steve Sidwell scored that cracker heads went down, our game plan went to shit, and we simply didn't know how to respond: we just whacked it forward towards poor Abraham, who didn't get any quality service at all. Bryan was poor, seems to have left his confidence behind in League One, Little was atrocious, I don't think Golbourne actually did anything, seemed as if Patterson gave up towards the end of the game, Smith lacking match sharpness, O'Neil never really had anyone to pass to, and Tomlin was ineffective. Another thing I notice when we're losing nobody seems willing to give the player on the ball options, time and time again we had nobody to pass to.

Would also like to mention the wankers who disrupted the minute's silence. These soldiers risked their lives in atrocious conditions, yet you can't even stay silent for a minute to remember them. Fucking idiots.

Matched Brighton until the first goal.
Equally class from Sidwell and shocking from O'Donnell.
Beaten by a better side on the day so no complaints about the result at all.
Thought we should have had a pen for foul on Wilbs though.
Brighton along with Newcastle the most impressive side to come to Ashton Gate, though we actually competed against the latter.
