The numbers for tonight. Of note for L1 it’s

  1. Exeter - Ball 9
  2. Peterborough - Ball 21
  3. Vale - Ball 22
  4. Lincoln - Ball 32 if they get through tonight
No disrespect to any of the other L1 clubs but no thanks on any of you in the third round as am sure same will be said for us. Give me Man Utd or Arsenal away.

We've never played Arsenal or Man City so they will do.
Love to get Pep or Arteta down here

We obviously did the Etihad a couple of years back, great experience and performance, bonkers to see us against World Cup winners and stuff! That said we actually won to survive in the Championship and sent City down in 1998 so have crossed a few times.

Arsenal we drew before losing on pens in 98 (one of the only sides Wenger faced and never beat in game time).

The only one we haven't played in a long long time is Chelsea, think its 1929 so would be a new one.

Hopefully we both get something exciting. Getting proper big clubs like them can also be club altering financially as well as the potential to draw in new fans. We did it partly on the back of the Man City FA Cup game. Never been to the Emirates so to see us there would be pretty sweet.

At the back of my mind though you just know it’ll be Salford away and will have to just like it or lump it.

We hardly ever get a decent one, last time we got this far we got Scunthorpe away who at the time were two league above!

The only time in this competition I can remember a decent one was Tottenham Away at WHL, but had to beat three Championship sides to get it... great night that was mind... so close and Goodlad was incredible that night.

Before that it must be Man United in 1994 when we put in a complaint to the EFL because our fans turned up to see Cantona etc and we got these unknown kids by the name of Scholes, Beckham, Neville x 2 and Butt!

Have seen us play both of these away, tonked 5-0 in the FA cup and win a couple of times against Man City when they were a lot shitter than they are now!

However unlikely for us to win at BL tonight I think we are due some cup home draws for a change, 20/23 draws away in the Carabao which is insanely unfair.

Nice!

Fully expected us to be torn apart by Sheff Utd, looking at their line up and our enforced changes to the back 5. Unexpected

3rd round it is

Congrats to Lincoln. That’s a terrific result. All four of us still in the draw made it through on spot kicks then.

Hopefully all of us can get something good in the draw shortly.

To be honest watching this Donny V Everton game any of us should fancy a piece of them. Everton are absolutely shocking and look ripe for an upset.

Either 26th or 27th September. As luck has it I’m on holiday then so will miss whatever game it is.

Must admit, I feared the worst when I saw the (some forced) changes we'd made. The back three have never played together - Mitchell was making his full debut and Eyoma hasn't been in the last two or three squads after a terrible start to the season (Bolton and Northampton games in particular). Smith getting a run-out as well, no back-up striker so played the second half without one on the pitch. All good fun!

Wasn't exactly a reserve/U21 Sheffield United side either, it was a strong looking side.

That’s a pretty sweet draw for us all things considered. Sucks for Sutton of course but great opportunity for us.

Happy with that, if it wasn’t a plumb draw then that was the next best thing against a side rooted near the bottom at home, will have to respect them and play a solid XI but a huge chance to make the last 16 for the second time ever.

Your tie and the City v Newcastle ones have to be favourites for TV coverage. Nice draw that.
Yes although probably pick Liverpool or Man U at home .

Shame you didn’t get a plum tie but good chance to get through.

Aye it’s one of them you either want one of the big six or a lower ranked team at home. I’m under no illusion there’s every chance we lose to Sutton though, they’re no mugs by a long shot. Saw it for ourselves in L2.

Generally if there’s a lower ranked team at home against a big premier team then that puts it at the forefront. Obviously they won’t resist the sportwashing derby as one of the games.

Very fortunate to have the first three rounds at home. Should be close to a full house and I would expect Luton to rest a few sona chance to go through.
What a dull draw though delivered in an uninspiring manner.

Sounds like a lot of ties will have to Wednesday due to Sunday PL games so might be a case of what is left to show on Tuesday .

Yes Sutton will probably be thinking its a winnable tie too .

Sutton have already knocked out Cambridge and Wycombe in the league cup this season so it's not going be an easy game for vale. It will probably be a 1 nil win for Sutton with about 70 away fans there and a low crowd of 3000.

Good draw for us and as said, surely a TV game? Think it'll be on Wednesday, I'm sure I read West Ham were playing on the Sunday.

Good win at home during that season but tonked at Maine Road, that was a painful afternoon.

Had a friendly with them as well, which must've been the early to mid-00's? Seaman was playing, Anelka up front with Wanchope.

If you're going to be a WUM, at least be good at it.
