Friday night "treat" on the box for the neutral.

Would be looking forward to this game if Trollope was in charge, I feel significantly less confident since Colin's been appointed.

Cardiff's squad isn't anything like as bad as the table suggests, they've quite a few players I'd undoubtedly take here.

Of course you have to factor into this game the mandatory Ricky Lambert goal, so we effectively start at 1-0 down.

Fielding
Matthews, Flint, Magners, Bryan;
O'Neil,
Reid, Tomlin;
Paterson, Freeman;
Abraham.
2-1 Cardiff.

Zohore, Lambert. Abraham.

A win would be nice to keep the good running. Think we could get a late goal to force a draw though. 1-1

He's only scored once against us hasn't he?

Not long now till the proper football is back. Don't agree JJH, there arnt many players I'd take. I think they overachieved last season but won't go down now unfortunately with Colin in charge. Also makes our task alot tougher. Games we need to be winning though to keep this good start going.

0-2 Tammy and Tomlin

There's quite a few who'd make our 18 at the very least. Manga, Ralls, O'Keefe, Noone, Lambert....

Definitely more confident about this than I was a few days ago, I'm going to be brave and say we may even score a goal!

It's only fun and games. Rovers have Gills this weekend, I've already mentioned a JET screamer in their thread.

I miss our rivalry. It's got so flat in recent years. I miss Ninian park :sad:
I blame modern football. That and the majority of our fans don't really give a toss about anything to do with the club anymore.

But there's only you Dai. I didn't want you getting lonely:bg1:
I acknowledge the thought, but this crazy train only got room for the one passenger!
Bluebird_Dai is Lambert going to be fit?
50/50 at the moment, Colin said that he and Pilkington haven't taken part in any training yet. This was last week mind.

Lambert would make our 18, what have you been smoking JJH?
He was absolutely atrocious against us for WBA last year, didn't get into the game at all. Is old and unlike the old man of our group, unfit. If he plays tomorrow he will manage the square root of fuck all.

*Goes to bet on Lambert for first goal scorer*

Lambert or Wilbraham? Don't delude yourself, was only a few years ago he was scoring every other game for Southampton.

Scored 2 already for Cardiff, and if it wasn't already a certainty he'd score against us it is now you've said that.

Right, because me saying that an unfit scouser was shit last time he played us (when he was fit) is going to have any effect on the outcome of the game at all.

I'm not saying Wilbraham is a better player either, but better for what we need.

To be fair, he was shite for Cardiff against us a couple of weeks back, did absolutely nothing and didn't look interested in the slightest.

31 goals in 3 seasons or
6 goals in 3 seasons?

Lambert is no threat and was awful for West Brom against us. I shouldnt worry.

Wilbraham scored 20 odd of those in L1 and is 3 years older.

Is it easier to score in League 1 or the Premier League? :pond:

In case you were wondering, Lambert smashed 81 league goals in League One over the duration of three seasons.

Agree with that team I think, maybe Pack for Reid for his height.

Long time reader of this forum - what's with the constant negativity? You predict us to lose or draw near enough every single week.. can only imagine it's some sort of self-preservation thing so you don't look foolish if you predict us to win and we end up losing.

Lambert has scored every 225 minutes in the league this season, Wilbs every 144 minutes in the league this season (source is Sofascore in case that's wrong).

Surely if comparing the two that is the most relevant.

I don't, I just think we'll lose this one. If they still had Trollope we'd have hammered them.

Welcome to the forum anyway.
