EDIT: Then again, after having a look at all the other match reports this season they have given an accurate figure e.g 5501 at Barnsley. So unless Villa can perhaps shed more light on it I might be inclined to say it was that.

Derby's allocation at Burton was 1,506 and was sold out.

There was some issue over 100 or so corporate ones not being sold and being made available on the gate, but I assume they did go in the end.

Don't understand why other teams are allocated more than we were. Blues have 1756 tonight. It's not like there'd be any bother, with half Burton's crowd being half fans with us anyway.

Agreed, may be taking less in ticket money, but would they make up for it by selling more at food/drink kiosks programmes and merchandising etc. Also cannot underestimate the goodwill it would generate among the people of Huddersfield. Conversely we have Swfc, surprised home crowds are so good considering the match day prices, I know the team is better than previous years, but we are still pricing out certain people and losing some fans probably forever. Think Huddersfield's policy is much more forward thinking.

What's the cheapest matchday ticket at Sheffield Wednesday for an adult ? Don't you pay £40 odd for tickets in some parts? Our category A games are £37 in some parts of the ground and I think the cheapest adult ticket is £28. The lesser games, the most expensive ticket is £28 with the cheapest being £25 I think. I'm surprised how expensive some championship clubs are tbf. I think swfc crowds this season have been good considering the price. Last season would of helped put a few more on your gate as well. I'm expecting Fulham to bring 1k Max today, but I still think we will get over 30k because all it takes with our lot is a little belief and the people turn up. Put a good run together and we will be at full capacity, well not quite full because I don't think they will open the upper tier of the trinity too many times this season.

Cheapest would be £20 but we've not had a Cat G game.

We've had one decent season at this level in 16 years so by that score our crowds have held up well, the pricing we have now came in last season and saw us push towards 20K ST holders hence the increase this term.

However we also have a membership scheme whereby supporters get £10 a ticket off bigger games and £5 a ticket off less attractive games if tickets are pre bought. As Walkley says the cheapest ticket potentially is £20 but we don't know who this will be against (maybe nobody) as the club set the prices about a month before each match. We also I think 4 match day prices, under 11, 11-16 and 65 and over, 17-21 and adult. So at any given match, you could be paying 1 of any 28 different prices. Still with me? No I thought not. Anyway basically if we were to say somewhere between 28-32 quid would be about the average, cheapest adult match day ticket over the season, I don't think we would be far out. If your lost reading that I am too trying to explain it. Basically club wants us all to be season ticket holders or members and isn't interested in the casual fan. I have no issue with the idea of getting people to become season ticket holders and members as at the end of the day they are the loyal fans. The ones who for example last year for you went to the arsenal,Brighton and Wembley games are plastic fans anyway and deserve to be charged more. It's the price of away tickets that depresses me it has got be capped in the championship now as clubs can easily afford it these days. Or if it's not capped it should cost no more than the cheapest adult member price at each club

I don't mean charged more than they do now I mean charged more than people that go often. They are plastic fans you have 25k of them that suddenly appear when you play at wembley

I'm not denying there are a lot of plastics, but for the ones who aren't but simply cannot afford the prices of football in this country they shouldn't be punished or frowned upon. It should be made easier for them to come to games.

I'm sure they can afford the odd £20/30 every few weeks which they choose not to spend. Yet will be more than happy to pay £50 if it was man utd away in the cup

Closer to 3k today I believe. Shame we were outclassed but enjoyed nevertheless and the Bobby Robson chants sung by both sets of fans was a nice touch. Other than that, Newcastle fans are fucking SHITE. Worst I've seen this season.
