1000 odd crowd? Must have been about 20 Reading then. ;-)

He must be on about away fans and not the overall attendance because ive never seen us come close to a 1000 crowd in a cup game nevermind in league but i cant remember ever seeing Reading fetch over a 1k either so it must have been before i started watching em.

Did that come from the same person who said we'd only sold 400 for Bristol City? Suggest you wait until Friday before talking. Anyway we could sell 200 and still make more noise than your 9k home gate. Around 750 Fulham yesterday btw.
Alreet mate chill out. I've no idea where it came from, my Dad said he saw it on Twitter, hence why I said "apparently"

Do you disagree with the last part of my post?

No I don't disagree with it to be fair, very poor show if we can't get 3k but I'm not surprised with our start to the season and the fact it's on TV. We'll take 2.5k I reckon like we did against Bolton 2 years back in a similar position. If it was a Saturday afternoon and we were doing moderately well then we'd have had around 4k but that's life.

Yes, an away following rather than a home gate. Was in the early naughties, great days.

I'll vouch for the Reading fan. They had 1,100 ish at Millmoor in September about 2001. Martin Butler played, Jim Mcintyre scored; Reading had spent a bit and had a good side. We took 1,000 plus in the reverse fixture but I don't think either club has managed it since.

Whilst Reading had a good side, Pardew as Manager, Phil Parkinson as Captain and Martin Allen as Assistant Manager says a lot about the off field antics they showed that season. They were pig sick when we pipped them for second spot.

Martin Allen shared some drinks with us on the train home that day, cracking personality! Rotherham were a handy side that season.

 Its probably why i dont remember, i started following Rotherham the season after that. We seemed to take better followings back in those days even though its not too bad atm.

Like any non big club , we take decent followings for local and big games, but pretty ordinary otherwise.

Our OS and the Championship twitter feed at the time claimed 7000 as we took all but a 281 of the neutral seats.

Pretty sure it was 740 Fulham at Wigan according to Twitter anyway. Certainly looked that way to be fair. Was quite disappointed, Fulham have always managed to take around 1k to us and they are doing quite well this season. Was surprised they didn't take more.

Cardiff away isn't a bubble match this year, get in. Friday night and on Sky, will probably go again but waiting to see how the tickets sales are. Is it still only a 2,000 maximum allocation?

It was. They had two allocations in the prem, full allocation was around 2600 and the smaller one at 2100.

Circa 600 City at Fulham tonight. Not bad given we're gonna have 3k there Saturday as well.

Derby's allocation was 1506 and they sold out. They returned 101 tickets a few hours before kick off which were made available on the turnstiles but I'd be amazed if they didn't get snapped up.

No idea about Brighton.
