I don't think it matters much which league you're in. Portsmouth and Plymouth have cracking away support, but neither of them are unlikely to be gracing the top echelons of English football anytime soon.

Its only 5 times Leeds was runners up in the league, so countless is abit much.
yes 5 times in the league and another 5 times in the cups. 3 fa cups, European cup and the cup winners cup. So that's 10 times in all competitions which is some going. But as blademan pointed out you get fuck all for finishing second best.

just because they have been in the slums for the last how many years it doesn't mean they have the best away support in the country. Other clubs would be on par with Leeds in the same situation and there is one or two other clubs that would be taking more away. Top 5 definitely. I have no problem with admitting they are top dogs in this league.
I can too, but taking the most fans is not for me "the best fans". Leeds and Portsmouth has always been my top supporters.

in the whole scheme of things their support is as impressive as anyone's because of the distance they travel and their smaller fan bases, especially Plymouth.

Agreed.

They always sell out at our place. Very moody when you go down there as well.

Is Plymouth fan base really that small? We talk about a city with a population about 260.000. With no other sport teams close.

probably not. They probably do have a decent fanbase but it's all from Plymouth and the surrounding areas. Leeds for example have a city of 800.000 with no other club and fans all over England. Plus how many do they get at home? It's like Grimsby, they take big away followings too.

Wouldn't say they have a massive fanbase, but they have a very strong core support. I work in the naval industry and a lot of clients I deal with are salt of the earth janners.

Tickets for Villa (28th) going on sale tomorrow to season ticket plus holders, even though if we beat Fleetwood we'll be playing in the 4th round of the cup that weekend...

Gutted I missed out on all the Blackpool debate.

Fuck em, their fans weren't complaining when the Oystons were ploughing money in them to push them through the league's into the PL were they? Oystons are entitled to recoup some of their hard earned back.

Strange as fuck the Blackpool debacle.

Hopefully mate, FA cup's dull as fuck.

Yeah it would be mate, the only issue is that the allocation is fairly small so I and others will get my tickets tomorrow without knowing the date that it could be replayed otherwise lots of regulars will miss out.

I hope you do beat Fleetwood, the less games we have to play without Kodjia, the better.

I can't recall them ever ploughing money in I remember they had a 10k wage cap when in the premier league. They got there through being a good hard working team not spending millions and millions. Well that's how I remember it anyway. Never really expected any different off you tbh saying fuck them. What about when you cheated your way up the leagues by massively overspending then relying on clubs like sheff utd and it's fans to help bail you out, no one saying fuck Rotherham and they're fans then was there.

They threw money at Shaun Barker as a league two side whilst we were in league one for a start. That's was at the start of their 'rise'. Massively revamped the stadium also. Suppose the money for that appeared out of thin air.

We spent 50k on Darren Byfield which was the single transfer fee we spent in our double promotion seasons under Ronnie Moore. We went into admin as we had set our budget in line with the money we'd receive from ITV digital and then it went bust. Similar situation most clubs found themselves in, so I don't know what the fuck you're on about.

We won't, hope we field the U18s with the "incentive" of Burnley or Sunderland in the next round. Fuck that.

Why have Villa only allocated us 2.4k, surely we'll get 3k?

He left you to go to blackpool on a free. And revamping the ground isn't throwing money at climbing the leagues is it. Itv digital went bust in 2002 you didn't go into admin till 06/07 season so you better answer your last question yourself

maybe it's the initial allocation. It said Leeds were only allocated 2400 but they ended up having the full 2800. It's not too far up the road so you should sell out easily.

We take more than Derby away, i dont really know how that is possible.

Our away support has always been average so not really a great surprise. Think we've averaged more than you the last few years though.

See a lot of this big club, Leeds, Wednesday, Forest malarkey but when times get hard* their home support dwindles on tin-pottery levels. 15k at the city ground the other week, 2 euro cups, aye, nice one.

*Hard = mid table in the second division. Or at worst promotion candidates in the third.

They won't need it.

Bristol only travel to Cardiff and London games.
Shut up you tit, we had more than half your home gates at West Brom last season and we'd played there in the league a few years before.

Our site states it's the full allocation mate but we shall see, bit annoyed if so.
