Defender Elliott Green has signed a new contract. I think that just leaves us with our forward line up to be announced although I haven't heard what's happening with Vidal who was injured for much of last season.

Rowe Turner supposedly turned down a contract offer from Torquay and some offers from clubs in the National league north and south to sign for Chester.
Was never overly impressed when I've seen him play in the past.

We didn't offer him a new deal, and I'm quite glad to see him go. If you want a positive then he improved as last season went on, but overall a good athlete/well under par footballer. I'd hope that we can do a lot better when replacing him.

In other Torquay news, we have re-signed Myles Anderson at centre back. Brendan Moore and Courtney Richards are now a week past their deadline to sign new deals, so look likely to be off. Would be sorry to see Moore go, Richards more 50/50.

I quite liked James, thought he worked hard, but he wasn't particularly popular amongst our fans.
I think there is an element of JA going for the clear out and trying to re-build here rather than us being desperately short of money - I can't imagine either Hodgkiss (on a 2 year deal) or Scott Wilson (southern based and from Eastleigh) are particularly cheap.

Bernard is a Man Utd scout and a Chester fan. Him and another fan started the youth section when we re-formed in 2010 and it is now staring to bear fruit. They resigned from their voluntary positions when Jim Harvey appeared on the scene as the guest of one of our former chairmen and sniffing for the youth team job.. Very good friend of mine.

Great signing that. Have to say I am getting a little concerned at our situation. Just nine players on the books, very little coming out the club and tow nailed on signings fell through now. Hmm.
