This heralds for us a run of games that could be either the dawning of the Age of Aquarius or a slow descent into Hell.

After a low-key start last week, we're hoping that Cook's chosen one - Eoin Doyle - can start to show what he's made of. Won't be easy. Accrington are way better than their league position would indicate, but like Pompey they've seemingly suffered from a failure to turn pressure into goals this season.

The defence generally picks itself so the only question marks are in midfield/attack. Linganzi may well keep Rose out of the team again. Which three he plays behind Doyle is anyone's guess. Perm any three from Roberts, Naismith, Baker, Bennett, Lowe and Chaplin. I'd like to see Baker/Chaplin/Lowe myself.

Surely we won't go 3 games without a goal?

Comfy win to inject some much needed positivity around the place.

The dins heckling the players and manager will suddenly be claiming they're the new messiah, until the next defeat when the process starts all over again.

It was a solid win. Played some ok stuff at times but we're still struggling to find that final pass and finish teams off.

Nothing much came off for Eoin Doyle but he will clearly get better once the rest of the team understand his strengths. It's nice to have a striker who is actually trying to get behind the defence and hurt them.

Lowe was the pick of the supporting three. Roberts and Bennett were as frustrating as ever.

Got the result, but mis-called the fan reaction.

A nervy game coupled with a nervy crowd. The reaction for the substitutions was embarrassing.

A win gives us a platform to build on with another home game on Tuesday. Two wins on the bounce and maybe that positivity might just start to unfold on and off the pitch.

Some of our fans really are fucking stupid. The guy in front of me never stops moaning and he just drags everyone down with him!

It's so bloody frustrating- even when we're doing ok there are moaners around or something controversial happens. This time it was booing during the substitution mistake and then cheering Roberts off. Not the crowd I remember from days gone by.

Can't make the Blackpool game but I hope the atmosphere's better; if we can win it the mood might well change.

Agreed - no way did Roberts deserve that reaction. Yes, he's been nowhere near his best recently but that is the same for many in the squad. He'd set up our only goal with a fantastic cross as well.

Some of our 'fans' seem to be mad with rage pretty much from kick-off these days. Even the early goal didn't calm them down on Saturday. It will only get worse as we get down to the nitty-gritty this season. Let's hope that the singing goes up a notch and manages to drown out the moaners. Would love to get back to the kind of atmosphere we had in the first leg of the play-off game last season which made the hair stand up on the back of the neck.
