Deserved. The better side for the majority of the game.

Everton 33% of the possession and 1 shot on target. At home. They're shit and deserved nothing.

Because of that time he wiped his sphincter on the German shirt?

Character win today from the Reds! A very important three points.

I thought Everton hustled their arses off in the first half but were hanging on most of the second .

Barkley should've been off.

Barkley should've been off.

Twice, once for the dirty challenge and once for kicking the ball away whilst already on a yellow. He's such fucking hot headed idiot, I'm not surprised Koeman struggles with him.

"We didn't deserve to lose the game."

Yeah OK Ronnie, 1 shot on target and 33% of possession. You deserved the draw.

Quite surprised to see Koeman call that a good performance. They were shite for the most part.

There's no better feeling than a last minute winner in the derby!!!

I think that was deserved in the end. First half an hour Everton were the better team but we grew stronger and are clearly a fitter side. They were lucky to still have 11 on the pitch and I agree with all what Carragher and Neville said after the game.

Usually Koeman is quite open and honest in his interviews but I thought he was deluded saying a draw would've been fair. We were far from our best but to have 1 shot at home with 32% possession against your rivals isn't really acceptable even if the performance wasn't bad.

It's games like these that you need to grind out a result and turn a draw into a win that'll put you right in the mix and going into Christmas being 2nd is a big confidence boost. 2 away games with 2 clean sheets with so little chances conceded will bring confidence to the team too. Now we have two home games with City being one of them which I believe Aguero is still banned for so hopefully we can take a minimum of 4 points from those which will still leave us in a strong position for the top 4.

Stuffy red bastards as per usual....in injury time.......tbf they were the only team who tried to play football in second half so we got what we deserved, does anyone know why Lawrence Llewellyn Bowen came on?

Missed the majority of the match because the whole world came crashing down roundabout kickoff. Seemed like Everton held their own in the first but were horrible in the second half. For only looking with one eye I must have seen them giving the ball to us needlessly on ten different occasions.

Glad to see a sub changing the game a bit, I think Klopp is a bit too persistent with his starting XI sometimes.

Get the fuck in, what a night, just seen a five star film in Rogue One and Liverpool produce a last minute winner, woohoo! :D

Saw the first 30 mins in a pub before the film and it did look from there that Everton were the better side. As for the rest of the match I'll need to see the highlights before I comment further.

Correct, but after that Liverpool bossed it. Inevitable that they would score in the 8+ added on, and could have had a second as well.

Barkley should have seen red btw.

Just finished watching the full game after missing it live. What a good game it was! Klavan and Lovren were immense. Really going to miss Mane when goes to AFCON. Everton as always dirty and bitter.

Just seen Barkley's challenge again. How he manage to stay on the pitch is something only Mike Dean can explain. Henderson showed his class in the post-match interview, he was far nicer about it than was deserved. Could have easily done serious damage.

Barkley really was shite last night.

Hope you're ok Toddles. It was a dire match, but Liverpool deserved to win it. How you can compare Barkley to Coutinho is a joke. One is an over rated animal, the other is Coutinhino. Your boys were shit last night.

As usual a big Sky Sports build up has lead to a pretty dire showing. Everton didn't really help by simply trying not to lose and really got what they deserved in the end. Liverpool showing they can grind out the 1-0's could be a sign that they will be the ones to challenge Chelsea this season although they will still need a decent buy in the defensive area come January

A David Moyes special. His legacy lives on it would seem.

Which position would you say?

I mean, looking at our options right now it's fine. Clyne is our most consistent performer, the Matip/Lovren-partnership has worked well and is still in its early days. Klavan has shown to be more than adequate cover (fantastic signing, actually, hasn't put a foot wrong). Obviously Milner at left back is what it is but it'd be incredibly harsh to drop him.

The goalkeeping situation is obviously our achilles heel but we signed Karius in the summer so I doubt we'll look to upgrade that only six months in, it'd go against most things Klopp has said since he arrived.

For me, looking at our squad right now, somebody has to go before we bring anyone in regardless of position. I think our squad is very well balanced for a team not in Europe, as the table shows.

Lovren is far too inconsistent for a team with our ambitions, I'd keep him for backup but that's it. The jury is still out on Matip, has done well but let's see how he does for the rest of the season assuming he plays regularly. The same applies to Klavan, although as backup he's unlikely to get a regular spot to prove himself. Milner has done very well, but he's not a natural left back and is clearly not there long term, nor should he be. In short, out of our outfield defensive players, the only one I'm happy with is Clyne.

As for keepers, Mignolet doesn't cut it, and he's the better of the two options which tells you everything you need to know about Karius. Klopp needs to accept his mistake with the latter and buy, but this won't happen before the summer and knowing Klopp, not even then.

As for our league position, it's despite rather than because of our defensive abilities.

Well I don't watch Liverpool enough to justify a call over you who I assume watches them regularly. Seems to me that there is still that potential for goals to be leaked. Some of the defending this season, and as recent as the Bournemouth game, has been schoolboy stuff and could ultimately be costly enough for any serious title challenge. If you are seeing enough in the back line to suggest progress is being made then I will take your word for it but it might just mean accepting a top 4 spot this season with title challenges beginning next season when the defensive partnerships have settled

Must be a bit gutting for Everton fans that, massive 3 points for Liverpool though, still very much in the title race.

I was gutted but we battered them 1st half they were there for the taking......and they are already the champions remember....... so after 3 or 4 months in charge were heading in the right direction under Koeman.
