It was my first trip to Goodison, after the result, I don't think my Everton supporting mate will be inviting me back.

For the first twenty minutes, Spurs did nothing. All the decent play came from Everton. They looked lively and got the early goal. I've not seen back the "push" by Calvert Lewian but it looked a very weak decision something that was indicative of the officials (especially the ref and the lino on my side that missed a lot of offsides, in both halves).

Once the mistake happened (and it was a howler from Pickford, compounded by Zouma not just putting his foot through it) Everton started to struggle. While the defence wasn't great it was the midfield mainly at fault. I know Everton fans love Davies but he was god awful yesterday, and when you have Gomes who is decent going forward but non-existant backwards you need some decent steel in the middle.

Spurs never needed to get out of first gear. But what really struck was that while the Evertonians around me could see the issue, the man in the dugout didn't have a clue. No changes at halftime despite being overrun and only forced into a change when Gomes got injured and the game had swung twice, to 4-1 and then 4-2. Bringing on Schneiderlin who is a pale imitation of the footballer he was at Saints deflated the crowd and soon it was 5-2.

Richarlison seems to be living a charmed existence, rubbish yesterday and not hauled off until the 80th minute for the much livelier Bernard.

I've seen in the Silva Thread some are asking him to go, if this is how he performs week in week out, it's clear he's a poor tactician and struggles to adapt.

Spurs will take the headlines, but Everton were far poorer than Spurs were good.

That being Said, Son is some player.
