This may be a good time to play the Grecians off the back of their two latest results both draws! They are on a long unbeaten run, but maybe reaching the precipice! Wishful thinking at least.

My faith restored after a belter against Tranmere, this is another opportunity for our boys to prove they have something about them. Inconsistency has crept in, so a win today would put us in the frame as proper play-off candidates. A win would also pile pressure on themselves, do they really want that!

We have Rawson missing again from central defence, which means a return of McGinley who unbalances the side, we’ve been better in his absence, Cheltenham second half last Saturday and Tranmere on Tuesday. So not happy about that. Not sure I Rueben Reid will be fit enough to return for this, which would also be a slight negative. None the less we should have restored some confidence so we have a chance.

Imagine we will be knackered after travelling 1000 miles this week, but hopefully the new stand and the optimism of the home fans should see us through, though I foresee Reid scoring from a James through ball. 2-1 to City with over 5000 there

Not seen the lad in the flesh due to foolishly moving abroad but was under the impression McGinley had done well up until his last outing, interesting to read your view.

Win this and shit gets real.

Doubt we will though tbh, especially if Reid is still out but at least Exeter probably won't sit everyone back behind the ball like most teams do against us so it should be a decent watch.

Another 1-1 would be a good result. We're good at them.

Just had the team text, no Reuben and see Sanchez back despite Monty doing OK against Tranmere. Still think we'll win for no reason in particular and against all the available evidence.

No Pym in goal for us which is a big blow as James Hamon is very inexperienced. Also no Boateng so another big blow.

On the plus side Stockley is back in the starting lineup alongside Forte.

Up the City. Have a feeling this will be tight...

On another note, really heavy snow here in Gloucestershire!

We’ve been second best so far, but still had a couple of good chances.

Need to improve second half to get a result as FGR are decent.

Someone on the Exeter forum reckons we've taken 330 fans which is pretty good for us if true. Wouldn't have completely disgraced the new stand if the safety checks had been ready in time.
ETA Now he's been pulled up as it's apparently actually 210. Sounds more likely.

I'm beginning to warm to Reece:woo:

We've been in this position so many times this season, a long 30 minutes to go yet!

Don't think anyone else has dropped so many points from leading positions :D never know, might see it out thought sounds like we're having a bit of a flap.

Well, ignoring the comedy ending that's one hell of a tidy away win. Had my doubts about Cooper after he seemed to be falling out with senior players all the time in the Conference and his style lacking end product but have to hand it to him, when he's got the men he wants we're a really decent outfit.

Ugh, well that was dire. Never got going and for some reason resorted to long ball tactics, which didn’t work.

Credit to FGR they 100% deserved the win and scored a couple of belting goals.

Hopefully just a blip from us, but we need to be much better if we’re going to be in with a shout of automatics. Also a shame that we serve up that performance in front of just under 5,000 people as it won’t tempt the extra fans back for the next home game.

Well done FGR suspect they will be up there this season.

Yep, bad from us. Our midfield was woeful. Made Lloyd James look good. We badly missed Boateng and Holmes but no excuse really. Well played FGR.

Mega win for FGR. Cooper seems to be getting it right this season.
