On a thread talking about one non league team reaching the quarters and two reaching the fifth round. Embarrassing, really.

Alan Alger tweets that the Conference is at 'it's worst standard ever' about 10 times a season, every season. Think it's his way of trying to demonstrate non league knowledge. He also uses exactly the same stats to try to prove his argument either way.

2015/16: Only 1 non league team reaches FA Cup 3rd round. "demonstrates the Conference is the weakest it's ever been"
2016/17 Lincoln and Sutton reach FA Cup 5th round. "still weakest, just the league sides are getting weaker as well"

Don't think David is a footballer, though.

Fatman Shaw might as well milk this now, what's he got to lose? Who knows, he might be able to sell his story to the press, put out a book or even be on the next celebrity big brother. The world's his oyster.

Of course Man Utd are on, they're playing Chelsea. Easily tie of the round. The others are all boring as shit to most neutral fans.

I'm not sure whether this is an Arsenal and/or an FA thing because at the stage we're at, but we're not allowed to put any Arsenal tickets on general sale and we have to provide a full audit trail with tickets only being sold to people who are on our database i.e. season tickets/ticket packs etc.

Therefore, to shift the outstanding amount (probably around 1,500-2,000) we're going to have to come up with another ticket promotion where they can get people onto the database and then sell them an Arsenal ticket.

Maybe because it stops Arsenal tickets in the home end over the course of the season being sold on, but I thought they had an official ticket exchange to stop that.

So are you saying Lincoln fans won't be able to buy 100s of tickets for the Arsenal game from the post office?

Anyone able to get me a ticket? I've not got a season ticket as I live in London and can't get back for games...can pay and collect at Aldershot or Braintree, or Arsenal. I will also express my gratitude in the form of beer. Lots of beer.

Got a ticket :2thumb:

Now we've beaten Braintree we can enjoy the Cup again.

Who would have thought this thread would still be going in March?!

Certainly not me, and I started the thing!

Glad you got sorted, gijsbert_bos.

Unfortunately, I've had to pass my ticket on. Gutted.

Imagine if he had to manage with a squad the size of the clubs down here! I think excluding the cup-tied loanees and Beevers (who's longterm injured) we have about 16 players to choose from for Saturday![/QUOTE]

And you play more games in the league/Cups.

If they don't like having so many matches to take part in these top teams could always just give up a Champions League spot..

We've already played 46 games this season. I think the minimum well play now is 60. If we beat York, 61. Playoffs would add another 2 or 3.

You had to go to the stag in the end? What a shitter...keep the Semi Final day free, don't want to miss that :2thumb:
That's not me!

Illness, unfortunately. Of all the seasons! Missed all the home games in October, November and December bar Eastleigh and got back into the swing of things since the Ipswich replay. Got a ticket through my ST in the hope that I'd be able to manage tomorrow but I've had to air on the side of caution and reluctantly pass it on yesterday.

I get confused easily! Sorry about that...

Hope you feel better soon mate. I get pissed off if I have a cold for a few days; being ill for months would be awful.

Wasn't it the Arsenal development squad plus Walcott.

Yes Alexis Sanchez and Alex Oxlaide-Chamberlain are part of Arsenals development squad. Arsenals starting XI against Sutton were Ospina, Gabriel, N Monreal, Mustafi, Holding, Xhaka, Walcott, Reine-Adelaide, Iwobi, Eleney, Perez. The aforementioned Oxlaide-Chamberlain came on at halftime and Sanchez on 73 minutes (not long after we hit the bar and looked as though we could be getting back into the game). 8 players who played at GGL were involved in Tuesdays Champions League tie with Bayern Munich (6 starting the game). So yeah, Arsenals development team......
