We're on horrific form at the moment - the most important thing to do is to keep a clean sheet here. Let's see what the line up will be, most likely our calamity pairing will be back together.

Hoping to go back to our roots with a 4-4-2 formation, it's generally when we've been at our best - especially with a diamond midfield.

Fully expecting the following line up though:
Smith
Leads - Locks - Sweeney - Brown
Sercombe - Clarke - Lines
Gaffney - Harrison - Nicholls/Moore

Hurray.

That’s who I’d like to see with Billy still out. I have a feeling about this one. 2-0 Gas.

Can we presume that 'Messi' is Timid Tommy Nichols after your recent glowing accolades of his supposedly immense prowess...or are you leaving him on the bench for this one?

MK Dons should win this one as Bristol Rovers have proven on repeated occasions that they are a very poor team this season.

I go for 1-3. With Timid Tommy Nicholls reaching 26 games without a goal and Posh fans everywhere pissing themselves that Fry was able to recover their initial outlay and make a bit of a profit by selling such a pup to the first gullible idiot that feel for his shite

But you and Gassy were saying how wonderful Timid Tommy is a couple of weeks back...how can he not get in suggested forward line of 3 ?!

It’s a squad game comrade. Whilst you’re here ( where else would you be ffs) how are your lads getting on? Going well?

Harrison won't be playing as he is suspended.
I'd like 2 up front - Gaffney and Telford.
If we start with Sweeney and Lockyer then we will lose again.

I’d forgotten he’s out ffs. Looks like Nicholls will get a game then. We’re really missing Billy.

I'd personally like to see:

Slocombe
Parts - Broadbent - Rollin - Bola
---------Lines----------
Sercombe - Clarke/Sinclair

Gaffney -- Telford

Very badly...we have lost 5 out of the last 6 as we are poor team. We did however get a few decent results against a few genuine relegation candidate type teams at the start of the season.

Oi Tshwane go and play in one of your Jacaranda trees and leave us all in peace. Yes I visited your fair city many years ago.

Gone with the diamond. Would have liked young Bola in there if were playing a diamond but hopefully Browner can get up and down.
Anyway, let’s smash these fuckers.

Finally the diamond is back! Generally happy with that, Sinclair as a CAM is a strange one mind.

Fingers crossed the boys put in a performance for Geoff

Sincs was bloody good today I thought. I know some question his quality but bloody hell he works hard. He was everywhere. In fact the entire midfield looked a lot better today.

MK Dons were just crap tbh. Don't think Smith even made a save.

It is not 'my' City...I just worked there for a year in 2016. But well done on going there many years ago.

Well done to Timid Tommy Nicholls on proving most of the Gas fans who leave him out of their line ups every week completely wrong.

Apparently he just needs one goal before he starts scoring regularly...we'll see.

I’m telling you, it’s all about the 442 diamond midfield - I’ve been tellin ya for weeks! :hypo:

Good result though - a poor first half if not for 1 real chance. 2nd half we were much better, still not at our best but we looked composed. MK Dons honestly have to be one of the worst teams I have ever seen at the Mem, seriously there’s no tactics, no direction, no skill. They were wasting time from 20 minutes in.

Glad Nicholls finally got his goal after a superb individual effort

As much as I’ve skated Lockyer this season, I’ll be the first to congratulate him too, he was back to his best today.

All around, a clean sheet (our first at home) and 3 points - that’s for you, Geoff - RIP

Very comfortable 3 points.

Let MK have a bit of the ball in the first half but all the chances fell to Rovers with Nicholls, Sercombe and Gaffney failing to convert from close range.

We were completely dominant in the second half and could easily have won by more. At one stage Gaffney and Nicholls were both clean through and Lockyer should have scored with a free header from 4 yards out that was tipped onto the underside the bar.

18 shots to MK's 8, 7 on target to MK's 1 and 7 corners to Mk's 4. The one save Smith did have to make was basically a back pass.

Considering we were missing our 2 top scorers in Bodin and Harrison it was an excellent performance and a fitting tribute to Geoff Dunford.

PoshinPretoria - do you go on every other club's threads to constantly say how crap their team is, or is it just the Gas? It seems you make the same prediction every week. OK, we were pretty poor in our game against yourselves back in August, but we're only 3 points behind you.

If it is just about bashing Tom Nicholls, let it go. He was your leading scorer last season, got dogs abuse and has left you. He's been playing pretty well despite only getting his first league goal for us yesterday and it doesn't seem to have blunted our attack.

If Timid Tommy Nicholls has been playing so well then why does your manager not want to pick him of late and why does no-one on here include him in their suggested line ups?
