Bremen is for me the top favourite team for a relegation spot at the end of the season. very weak squad

Have they replaced Di Santo? I know they signed Ujah from Koln but I don't know if he'll get as many as FDS did last time out.

I loved Costa's assist. The defending was poor but the outside of the foot cross was a beauty.

Boring, boring Bundesliga.

I really hate those type of games. 4-0.

Bayern and Dortmund started very well. Nothing that wasn't predictable though (as it will be for the rest of the league probably).

Dortmund smashing Gladbach was far from predictable.

Do ITV still have a Bundesliga highlights show?

Dortmund smashing Gladbach was far from predictable.

After last season of Dortmund maybe not really but actually Bundesliga for many seasons was Bayern/Dortmund at the top, with few exceptions like the last one, so I didn't get surprised with Dormunt good performance.

I didn't expect that kinda result, no way. Fancied them to win but they completely outplayed Gladbach, who are no mugs.

It'd be great if there is actually going to be a proper title race this season, but once again I feel the most exciting areas are going to be 2nd/3rd/4th, and relegation.

I certainly can't see past Bayern, Wolfsburg and Leverkusen for the top 3 but maybe the latter two can challenge Bayern who will grow more and more tired of waltzing teams week after week. You just feel that the other two will be hungrier to push the Bavarians for a decent title race. Then again who knows what can happen what with Wolfsburg playing CL football for the first time in years.
Top 3 is pretty much settled imo which leaves a fantastic fight for 4th between Schalke, Dortmund and Gladbach. I'm glad that the Schalke and Dortmund look to be in fine form and really motivated to play good football and have a great season. Gladbach were terrible this season. I know it's easy to say after a 4-0 rout but I can't see them having a good season. Remember the time Hamburg finished bottom of their CL group with 0 points? Not sure if that'll happen to Gladbach but something similar I reckon.

Elsewhere I reckon it'll be a difficult season for Augsburg who will have the rest of the league knowing that their place is a tough one to get points from. Other than that, I can see Hoffenheim having a good season yet again along with Köln. Reckon Werder Bremen will have a decent season also.

Bottom looks same old really. The two promoted sides have started well but will be down there come May. Hamburg and Stuttgart will again struggle all year long and who knows maybe finally go down. Can see Mainz being down there as well. A typical example of how European football can seriously damage your domestic form (which is why I reckon Augsburg will struggle).

I actually reckon Dortmund will be back in the top three this season, especially if Reus can stay injury free.

Bayern is still the team to be beaten. I also think Dortmund will be back to the top positions. Schalke showed a good attack, they seem to be a good bet to top 3. But it's still too soon to say.

I think Wolfsburg are overestimated, particularly if they lose De Bruyne. Without him, they're below BVB, Leverkusen, and Schalke. I can't agree with those saying Dortmund are the 4th/5th/6th best side in the league. They had more injury problems than any side last season and a calamitous loss of confidence from those who didn't get injured. Castro is a quality depth addition and when healthy, their defense is better than the other CL spot contenders. I think they need another forward, though. Schalke has the potential to be better than Leverkusen, but it depends how the youngsters perform. I think Leverkusen will just edge it.

Hoffenheim with an early lead against Bayern. I didn't realize they had signed Fabian Schar and Kuranyi.

Exciting day in the Buli today!

Hoffenheim scored after 8.9 seconds against Bayern, but couldn't hold on as Lewandowski scored a late winner, despite Jerome Boateng getting sent off and Hoff missing a penno! Dramatic game there. Wolfsburg draw 1-1 in Cologne, with KDB missing a golden chance to win it at the death, Darmstadt leave Schalke with a 1-1 draw which is a great result for them. Frankfurt grabbed a late equaliser at home to Augsburg, while Leverkusen won 1-0 at Hannover.

Hamburg host Stuttgart tonight, with Dortmund going to Ingolstadt tomorrow. Gladbach host Mainz also.

Hamburg won in typically dramatic fashion 3-2 as they were 1-2 down with 6 minutes to go. Djourou's winner is a nice goal after a nice lay-off by Lasogga.

The Boateng sending off is a bit of a joke really. A free-kick is taken by Hoffenheim (wasn't even a foul), hits the wall and precisely Boateng on the hand who really didn't touch it deliberately, pen given, red card. Neuer didn't save the pen though, the strike hit the post, bounced back off Neuer and cleared. Judging by the highlights, most of the 50/50s were given to Hoffenheim but Bayern still won, Douglas Costa the main man in the late Lewandowski winner.

All the other games weren't great. Leverkusen did win at Hannover thanks to a cracking Calhanoglu free-kick despite the wall not being far enough from the ball. I'm very much looking forward to their return game against Lazio on Wednesday.

Dortmund dominated this first half against Ingolstadt. They created many good goal chances, if it wasn't their lack on finalizing they could be winning with a big amount of goals by now.
