Given the limitations of the platform, I don't have the time to expound upon my beliefs in any concrete sense, nor do I have the inclination to. However, if pressed, I would say that my political education started with Adam Smith and reached its apogee abruptly halfway through 'On Liberty'. A classical liberal in an economic and social sense, then, I suppose but principally non-ideological. Largely above the sort of emotive exhortation that might characterise me as a conflicted Blairite. I'm sympathic to your plight, and almost uncomfortably reasonable in the face of polemic hostility, but I insist that your problems are your own.
