Anybody else had anything like this. We live in a semi detached cottage a had a grand neighbours for over 30 years until the old boy passed away in November 2014 (his wife died some years ago). Anyway, the house was sold in July 2015 by a 50 year old guy & he told us he liked doing things himself as he was good with his hands. Fair enough. He started in September last year and only moved into the house last month. We have had a 'year' of sawing, banging, drilling, hammering, wall rubbing....every kind of fucking loud noise you can imagine connected with internal building & renovation and this occurred every evening Monday-Friday & all day Saturdays & Sundays. Seriously, the only days off were Christmas/Boxing days & Jan 1st & 2nd. In addition to that, earlier this year we had months of builders doing an extension. We realise that the guy had to get the work done & we haven't complained to him as we didn't want to fall out with a new neighbour but it has really tested our patience. Turns out the guy now ignores everybody & shoots into the house if he sees us out the back. Bastard!

Depending on the extent of renovation and building work being carried out, wouldn't a council inspection be over-due to see if the work is up to certain building code standards?......just a thought.
