As Aber touched on yesterday, we have completed the signing of Eastleigh defender Joe Partington for an undisclosed fee.

They say it's the most money they've ever received for a player. Don't know what that may be though.

Their supporters are gutted and say he's the best defender outside the FL, so he definitely sounds like a Darrell Clarke type player.

A good start to our business. Now for a goalkeeper and midfielder... oh and to keep hold of Matty Taylor.

With a bit of research ( google) the fee must be over £100 grand. Supposed to be the bollocks so I reckon it's money well spent.

Dunno what metric you're using but if size is determined by club stature and a host of other historical factors then we win in pretty much all categories. Attendances, league history, honours (or lack there of), you name it. Since the 1960s Rotherham have almost never been above Millwall in the league. Even when we were both promoted from div 2 in 2001 we won the title.

Isn't he out of contract in the summer? Seems a bit OTT price wise and I'm not sure he's L1 quality (but better than Mackreth who Bury signed).

But Lawrence has been getting some game time of late -- Would'nt be surprised though or Mansell. I believe Easter is good enough for us at present. Is'nt James on a season long loan ? Maybe Sinclair ? But we will need to increase as squad is getting smaller by the day.
