It will be interesting to see what Luton Outlaws think of that 468 figure given as when we took 500+ to Luton earlier in the season there was a thread on there calling our support absolutely pathetic etc.
Personally I think 468 from Luton is good but I'm curious to know what them lot will think of it.

For Mansfield 391 at Barnet is a pretty alright following.

Surprised it was 391 - didn't look much like half that! I spent most of the match thinking it was a poor turnout to be honest.

468 is the best I can remember for 35 years! There may have more in 1981/82 season when Luton were top of Division 2 when they came and went up as Champions - attendance was 7,700 - maybe 700 luton fans looking our attendances around that time...we lost 6-0 at Kenilworth that season in front of 9,090

Yep, we all know Luton don't travel well north of Brum unless there's something big at stake. 500 is about what I expected. I don't think those constant TV games/Friday games in the Conference did any good at all in encouraging decent followings between the two sides. I think every season both clubs were in that division together we were the two best supported clubs but it was never reflected in the attendances in the matches played between us.

I expect our circa 550 at Luton this season is our best ever too...we've probably a few best evers this season - 1,100 at Cambridge, 950 at Hartlepool...?

Would we not have taken more to Cambridge in one of those back to back Southend/Cambridge/Town promotion buddy seasons? I was like 5/6 then so have no idea really, just would have expected quite sizeable followings to Cambridge then.

Poor but louder than the home fans... quality.

Decent support for us that, id like to see us take a lot more to some away games now were going on a good run

I went to all of those games - the best following was actually Southend on a Friday night near the end of the first promotion season - circa 800. The Cambridge game in the first season was before our big winning run, probably 350 at best at that. Second season it was a Christmas game and maybe 500 at that.

Are you reading my posts? I said I thought t was much lower which would have been a poor turnout. I said nothing of the supposed 391 that did travel.

Chill out.

That away end looks alright.

The stand along side the pitch seemed a little odd though (only from highlights, I've yet to attend the hive). Is that building behind the side stand yours? Like a training centre?

Good old Big Keith:
Happy days...great bloke taken far too early - incredible that he made his league debut at 32 and yet played a pivotal part in the revival of the club in the late 80s.
Playing with two wingers though, Childs and Gilbert - what was that all about...?!

The whole complex is ours, end to end - all the training pitches and astros. That building is everything - restaurant, bar, offices, club shop. Others can probably add more, but I don't think we had much choice about that building being there when we got the site.

Our fans at Crewe on Saturday are apparently to be housed in the Whitby Morrison Ice Cream Van Stand. :2thumb:

Doncaster have apparently sold 1300 ahead of our game next Tuesday, didn't think they'd bring half that.

Blackpool have supposedly only sold about 400 for our game this weekend though, a bit disappointing even with their boycotts.

Great stats Walkley but just a minor observation, shouldn't the percentage of fans taken away be done using the "home fans" only figure, rather then the total attendance figure. Not that it would make much differecne I wouldn't have thought.
