When we got relegated from L2, there was an obvious increase in the NL with regards to gamesmanship.

Since we've come back up, I was expecting it to clear up again but it's the same if not worse at times.

Ameobi dived for notts penalty.

Shameful.
They'd decided they wanted a penalty or red card v us on new years day from minute 1. Shame really as they've got a strong squad.

Cheltenham have appealed the red cards, Gary Johnson might need sectioning.

Brilliant stuff

Saw that.

It's a joke. It'll be nice to see the FA confirm that their thuggish behaviour on Saturday won't wash

I see we're now equal top (if that's the right word) of the League 2 disciplinary table this season. Level on points with Mansfield which is remarkable considering we've had 7 red cards and they've only had 1. They've had a lot more yellows than anyone else. Bunch of Half a Job Harrys.

Hayden White's was our first of the season and it was a straight red, so give us something!

Regarding Yellows, maybe we're good at getting just 1 and knowing how to play the system.

From the TV highlights it seemed like the ref got all the red cards spot on to me

Yay! Bottom of another table. Maybe if we can stay bottom of this table, we'll get some reward from the FL which will propel us off the bottom of the real table...

Yup

Ours was pretty shocking in fairness

It was, completely reckless by White, all three red and GJ sent to the stands were all correct.

Penalty too, top referee performance.

I find it impressive we have so many yellows but only one red, experience has a play in that.

Don't know how anybody watching the highlights can say with any certainty that Cheltenham's reds were the right decisions. The first one is simply impossible to call as it's too far away. Wright's incident is clearer but I think a red card was a bit harsh if I'm being honest, though I don't know if it was straight red or not. I'm sure the Mansfield player's play acting and those two stooges on the touchline going crazy helped in no small measure the ref in making up his mind. Now, bear in mind that I absolutely have got no time for Danny Wright.

I'm still not 100% on Taylor Moore's, but I don't think there's much in it, so I'm intrigued to see what happens there. I don't think there's enough to overturn it.

I'm amazed we've appealed Danny Wright's.

We have given up bothering to appeal as they never get over turned, the referee is usually backed unless he admits he made a mistake which is rare. (Think appeals cost clubs too)

Oddly the one I recall was one against us that got overturned when the Bradford goalie wiped out Chris Birchall when clean through one on one for a penalty... we’d scored playing on but got pulled back for the penalty but it seemed as clear cut as you could get! Yet strangely got overturned! So you never know.

Haven’t actually seen Khans red as the highlights didn’t show it but his statement was shocking... no apology to the fans and the club just a load of wallowing in self pity at missing United!

To be fair I was surprised Grimsby had Jamille Matt's red card overturned last week as when I'd seen the highlights I thought it looked like he clearly led with an arm and thought it was perfectly understandable why it had been given. So you never know!

Apparently the game is also filmed in the opposite stand so it gave a better angle. The player afterwards also said that he knew Matt didn’t do it on purpose. Not sure if either of those points are taken into account by the FA though!

Despite many people believing we were the dirtiest club on the planet I think we went the best part of two seasons with no red cards...unfortunately the Football League has ruined that record...glad to see we aren't the worst though. Wycombe seem to have mastered taking one for the team, but not doing anything too serious, or should that be booking rotation.

Wright was straight infront of the dugout, So the linesman and fourth official had a great view of it. Wright initially won the free kick but in a tussle with Potter after he’s swung an arm/elbow in his face, The referee spoke to the Lino and then sent him. Definitely the correct decision.

The only one I can’t tell is Cheltenham’s first as like you say the video is shit and I’d gone for a beer at that point. Ours definite red, White had a shocker Saturday.

I'm not saying this is what happened, as I wasn't there. But our main commentator (who is usually unbiased with this sort of thing) is arguing that the ref had given a free-kick and run off to restart the game before being pulled back because of Raynor and Evans going off on one at the lino.

My view is that's irrelevant, I'm of the opinion that Wright knew exactly what he was doing and simply nearly got away with it.

Don't really expect either red to be overturned based on the highlights, neither looks that bad but there's not enough evidence to overturn them. Also believe Johnson was justifiably sent to the stands, the only annoying thing for me is that the Mansfield management staff got away with coming into our technical area and haven't been punished for that. Pretty equal crime to Johnson's I'd say.

I had a pretty good view of the first sending off. It was a straight arm smash rather than an elbow into Rose’s face.

Seen defenders get away with them or just a booking, but have also seen similar given red cards.

No chance of getting it overturned.

That was Jordan Pickford I think.

I've also not seen the Khan one but he wants fining by the club anyway for his pathetic decision to simply stop running after someone grabbed his shirt.

It could have been a foul but I bet there's 20 similar incidents every game that go unpunished.

He deserves to miss the Utd game due to his own stupidity.

Also the 'I slipped' argument is stupid. Is he trying to overturn a red card or explaining to a nurse why he has something stuck up his arse?

I can't believe we are mid table in that league. We normally end up winning it. I guess we have a few players who seem to get booked every game though.

He's panicking because he realises what a monumental balls up he made. I wouldn't be surprised if he paid the appeal fee himself as we've had two turned down this season already.

it's still a harsh decision though - had he gone out of his way to trip the ref or something i'd understand

You won't stay bottom of this table for long with Westley in charge. You were lucky you got such a homer last week.
