That'll be vile 9 time promotion winner to you.

Delighted White has returned, Bar Whiteman he was our best player since coming in last January for me. Other than what's said on here I know nothing about Angol but he's a young lad and has scored goals in L1 so hopefully he can do well here and make us some money.

FGR sign Lee Collins from Mansfield. Thoughts?

Was a decent player for us as a youngster but never seemed to push on. Will go down in folklore as scoring the goal that got us our first promotion in 20 years... playing against us for Northampton!

Lee Collins is decent for this level, personally thought getting rid of him was right but he's more than capable of being part of a good L2 side imo.

Decent signing for you IMO. Will play in front of the back four and can be fairly solid. Other Stags fans may disagree but I think he should help you consolidate at this level.

Signing better players gives you a better chance of being successful, who'd have thought it? I do find some of these posts lecturing us about our transfer policy rather tiresome though. Just because it didn't work out for Cheltenham this season doesn't mean it won't work out for us. Football doesn't work that way. We're two different clubs with completely different circumstances. I expect us to strengthen anyway, we have the money left over from the cup run after all plus the Cowley's seem to be very well connected. The spine is there we could just do with four or five quality additions. When discussing what players can make the step up a lot has been mentioned about the likes of Luke Waterfall, Nathan Arnold and Terry Hawkridge yet there's been no mention of the likes of Alex Woodyard, Sam Habergham or Sean Raggett? Funny that. Is that because no one knows about them?

This current lot haven't done too bad though, have they? They comfortably beat Oldham in the cup. They've drawn away at Ipswich and beaten them at home. They've seen off Brighton and Burnley. Our biggest asset is our management team anyway. They managed to elevate a side that had finished 13th the previous season into a 99-point title winning side. Keep them and we'll contend.
My nan could have assembled a team from her bingo hall who would have beat us on that night though. We were atrocious.

Shaun Pearson not offered another contract. Gutted isn't the word.

Heard his name a couple of times as someone we may be after - any good?

Hawkridge has signed, didn't realise that we released him as a kid.

I liked Angol and I thought DC/NC would have developed him into a good player with a decent sell-on potential. Led the line well, worked hard and I we didn't present him with too many goal scoring opportunities as it was about getting the job done. He'll be a fairly expensive signing with transfer fee and wages combined.

Released his cousin, Reco Fyfe, too. #PointlessFacts

Very good in the air, decent positional sense, if a little slow. Fully committed to the cause though. He did a lot of work with kids and was a very big part of the community, which is why I'm so sad to see him go. Had bit of skill as well and is always a threat from corners.

Good player. Decent signing. Would have quite happily had him back at Vale this summer.

Versatile too- can play centre back, full back or in midfield.

Good to see positive stuff about Collins, sounds like the kind of player we need with good experience of this level. Happy with that.

On another note looks like Sam Wedgbury is getting released. Shame cos he's a good player and top lad who's done really well for us.

Collins is reliable and versatile, I like him and can't think of many occasions were he let us down. Can play across the back line but had his better moments for us playing as a deep lying midfielder, protecting the back four.

He's a good signing.

That is higher than most average attendances in this division, to be fair thats a cracking effort. I never really remember Lincoln fans turning up to games, whenever I've been to Sincil Bank, its usually been fairly sparse. Is this the success of last season, or is my memory playing tricks on me?

You've never been in the conference and been back up here and realised how amazing it is to be back, they've replaced north ferriby (or some other random club) with Grimsby, and the rest of us. Being back in the league is the biggest game changer you'll ever experience, Lincoln are going through this now, and Fair play they're embracing this.

Many forget the bad deals they got under Alexander in the playoffs back in the early 2000s. They are capable of stuff and can do it. I'm thrilled to have them back.

It's like a big East Midlands derby next season

Stephen Warnock rumoured to be incoming.

Rate we are going after the return of Pope and Pugh signing and offers to Eagles and Bikey and Williams (plus Brown) we could have an average age of 30 plus next season!

Whereas we can easily be accused of the same, hardy is interesting on his updates.

I like his approach, very forward with fans which is good. He seems to have an interest with Mansfield though

'one of the best players in the division last year' is always a great quote because it definitely won't be, no one (realistic) on a free fits that bill.

Think a load of your fans started tweeting him the other day, he'll reply to bloody anyone.

Andy Williams is my educated guess for that one by the way. Not actually one of the best players in the division, but you could probably get away with describing him as one.

Point out to the guy on NCM who thinks that Hawkridge is a pacey winger is very, very wrong! He doesn't beat a man.

Just had a peek on yours and they all seem convinced that we've gone all Munto Finance again and have some sort of mega budget. Club forums are weird.

That one lad who keeps tweeting that Hardy is a proper strange fucker. Why AH is wasting his time replying to him I don't know.

Find it bizarre.

That said, it's clear that hardy has the upper hand on the issue, though maybe the more he replies, the more it'll come back against him
