So he's going there to be cover and play for their u23 side then?
Best scenario for all would be to sell him and get him back on a season long loan. We all know we'll lose him at the end of the season at the latest (whether he signs a new deal or not).

Pelly Ruddock, who was coming into the last year of his contract has signed a new one until 2020 with the option for another year.

Great news as far as I'm concerned, although some will argue he is rubbish, and ends any speculation that he might be sold this season at least I'd imagine.

Neil Eardley signing a short term contract according to our local paper.

Seems a relatively solid signing with just question marks over his long term-fitness more than anything.

Good news in my book too, still inconsistent but the type of enigmatic player that I just love watching. Plus, if he gets some consistency to his game this season we will be due a hopefully decent fee. Good to see us trying to keep hold of our better players.

Luton throwing three-year contracts around like mardi-gras.

Robbie Weir signs on the dotted line. Great signing, chuffed with that. Offers much needed stability and experience in that centre midfield

Signed a short term deal until January, with an appearance clause included to trigger until the end of the season.

Pleased with that, gives us a bit of positivity after the news that Raggett will probably be gone within a fortnight. I imagine DC has his sights on a ready made replacement. It's going to be a big hole to fill though that's for sure.

After a bit of silence and injuries, a good couple of days.

Robbie Weir signed on a short deal. Experienced centre mid, ex burton. Played well all pre season and got a standing ovation last Saturday. Really marshalls the kids about.

Also Dennis, who got double figures last season, and should do the business down here, has signed a contract extension.

Striker Sam Surridge signed on a season long loan from Bournemouth

Striker who likes to run the channels, who so far has scored goals at every level of our youth, and bagged 8 in 16 for Poole in the Conference South last season. Yeovil will be a step up in senior football, which he needs.

Robbie Weir had a torrid time with us last season. He was such a huge disappointment, he was a poor captain for us and his performances on the pitch were mainly terrible. I thought we'd signed a cracking player after what he did for Burton, but he was so poor.

Even though we had our well documented troubles last season, most of our senior players like Ollie Palmer, Gavin Massey, Liam Kelly, Tom Parkes and even Jordan Bowery found some sort of good form at certain points in the season for us, Weir sadly never did.

I felt for him the day he did his ACL away at Exeter in early January this year, he was in agony on the floor and got stretchered off and our fans didn't batter an eyelid. We were 4-0 down at the time though. That day summed up his time with us, 22 games played and only 1 good one probbaly out of the whole lot, along with his sending off he picked up after 10 seconds against Plymouth after kicking off for a stupid reckless high tackle.

His family also apparently never moved down with him to London, they stayed in the Derbyshire area, which may well have also had an impact on him.

Hopefully for him, his 6 month spell with us was just a blip because of how poor we were run and his family circumstances.

Got to disagree, here. We'd all love an owner to come in and thrown the money around - it's about the only realistic way any of us bottom feeders will progress. We had Andrew Black, who employed di Canio, and spunked money on us. It was fucking fantastic, - while it lasted, of course.

The problems arise when they pull the plug

Low tier money is the worst. The local businessman who will spunk his money on promotion to League 1 then realise he can't really compete there and beyond and then the club have a bit of an existential crisis and ultimately end up back where they belong.

Give me Munto or a Russian oligarch or fuck off essentially.

Looks like he'll be sold to someone before the window closes, good luck to him huge potential. To only lose before the window closes would be a pretty decent result and even better if we get him back on loan.
Been told Norwich have a few injured defenders hence their urgency for another defender.

You lot must be fuming with your transfers. Some of the players you've let go as well. Slade's lost the plot. If JJ Hooper is Plan C who's plan D?!

Christ Kelly and Hooper your scraping the barrel there!

JJ signed as a bit of a diamond in the rough, didn't get a big look in during the first season as we had a decent season but last season we loaned him out before him playing the second half once Jones went.

Had two good games for us, Rochdale a couple of years back all be it their back four had a mare that day and Swindon last season. Other than that I'd describe him as lazy, weak and doesn't really offer anything.

Will be remembered as a coward for taking a slight knock and demanding to come off ten minutes into the biggest game of recent seasons on the last day last season and to be honest I expected him to go back to Havant or something so very surprised he's ended up in the FL.

Has a dire attitude and never seemed to want it enough to stay pro.

We've had some that are shit elsewhere (Sodje, JMW, Leitch-Smith etc) do well for us so you never know but if you he's a reserve striker option he might get you 4 or 5 goals. If he's to be your number 9 your likely to be in big trouble.

In all fairness, Andrew was always going. The Donny deal was done and dusted really early. I am annoyed about losing Pearson but his replacement, Clarke, is one of the signings I am confident will be a decent one. Other than that, I'm not bothered about anyone else we have lost really. I'm more bothered about the players I didn't rate last season that are still here. I was harsh on the Dembele signing but he has gotten rave...admittedly pre-season reviews. I think a lot of expectations are on his shoulders, which isn't great as he should be seen as more of a wildcard signing. Bogle still not being replaced is farcical, though.

Not really, I'm only unhappy with a couple.

I've never really understood the 'replace Bogle' thing, it's so hard to try and sign a player who gets guaranteed goals every year.

Oddly linked is Remie Steeete, had a decent season and everyone expected him to move on during the summer for a free (as under 24). Vale then released him causing fury that we waived a fee option (apparently because he was on big money and couldn't risk him accepting it).

Strangely he hasn't found a club despite expectations he would end up at a top L1 lower end Championship club and has been at our last two friendlies... when asked apparently Brown has said if he wants to come back we would look go accommodate it.

I'd be chuffed but then we have five centre halves with Smith, Kay, Davis and Gunning so would be very over subscribed there!

Replace Bogle, aka bring in a main striker. We have Vernon, Asante who is crocked and Cardwell who would have been loaned in bench fodder under Hurst in the division below.

Oh yeah I get that, but I think some people think that we're going to bring in a player of Bogle's quality. Fwiw, I've seen Cardwell a couple of times and he looks half decent (this is pre-season though, as is everything).
