Strange rumour has surfaced that our former center half John McCombe is set to return to the club as Chester cant afford to play him again or he triggers a year extension...

Was a great servant but surely not?

Some people on Twatter linking us to Lloyd Jones now, young CB from Liverpool. Seems he has had a few loans to clubs currently at this level, most recently with Swindon last season. Any good Swindon fans?

Don't want to barge in here, but with deadline approaching it will be interesting to see if the Gas can get the Otis Khan deal done when push comes to shove.

Though with the suspension they might get him at a knock-down price. Expect they're flat out on it.

Good enough for L2. Got sent back after getting pissed at the Cheltenham Festival. Thought Bradford and Plymouth were after him.

What sort of fee is involved?

He's got a release clause, which has been activated with a "substantial offer", apparently, not sure how much that actually translates as.

Maybe they will announce it after tonights game when the amount of games he can't play in will be one less?

Got in trouble disciplinary wise but looked pretty handy on the occasions I saw him. I think he'd be an excellent signing at L2 level.

Gregg Wylde signs on loan until the end of the season, no idea how this has happened, but it's a great signing for us.

Hopefully Jim doesn't play him as a wingback and we actually start playing with wingers now. Potentially clutching at straws there though.

Tom Anderson has gone back to Burnley. Can only assume he’s injured or they’re loaning him/getting rid of him to somebody else.

This leaves us incredibly short at the back, especially considering Kay is no longer a centre back and Zak Jules looks unfit.
Rumour is that we are signing him on a permanent deal

I don’t think “good enough for L2” is quite going to cut the mustard any more with us.

I know that we were interested in Arnold before he signed for you, so would like to think we'd have a look as he's a good player.

I think I'm right in saying he owns a business up there though, so would be unlikely to consider uprooting?

Wouldn't have thought so as he's always tried to stay local. Cambridge is the only one he's moved away for. He's been at us, Grimsby, Mansfield and Alfreton.

Not sure if he still has his hairdressing business in Grimsby but he has one here in Lincoln.

Sam Jones and Siriki Dembele both not in the match day squad tonight which speaks volumes, expect them both be off tomorrow then probably for peanuts too.

Supposedly signing Julien Ngoy from Stoke tomorrow, who was being linked with Monaco in September... I can't see it

Dead highly rated by our Lard friends 5 miles down the road. One or two sub appearances but bizarrely said to have struggled in the ' mens ' games versus Morecambe, Bury etc in the Paint pot .

He’s no wing back, tracking back and tackling is not his thing. If you play him you have to accept he is an out and out winger, and just tell him to pin his ears back and run. He can be exciting, but like all wingers he can disappear. Has not got a bad shot on him.

All really depends on how you want to play. We played narrow this year and he did not feature.

Few of our fans saying he’s coming Vale. He played under Aspin at Gateshead and apparently the rumour has come from your side. If it’s a fee being paid by us then it’s almost certainly going to be peanuts, sorry.

Is he any good?

Yes very. Will be seriously pissed off to see Slade let another of our best ones go.

I'd be devastated to lose him, Slade has completely destroyed his confidence from when he got 7 in 15 last season. Can't say I'd be too surprised to see him sol on deadline day, when we really need players of his calibre to stay up.

I say I'd be devastated - I don't really care now.

How can we afford him... guess we are gambling on the Hugill sale going through and the big wonga coming in?

Get a left back and a keeper and it may turn out a decent window.
