Made two massive mistakes and cost us a goal in a short 20 minute cameo. Not going to rule him out but if he wants a contract then he should need to perform better than that.

He was too busy showboating but you could see he had a bit about him.

Are most Carlisle fans as optimistic as hellogregory?
I think most of them on a bit of a downer due to their lack of transfer activity but HG is certainly on another level compared to anyone I have seen (or read) before.

I just hope he doesn’t write these messages with a rope next to him :ffs:

The forum wouldn't be the same without characters like Hello
Plenty a laugh has been had reading SERNWA and Viking Magpie in the past.

Once Carlisle are comfortable in mid table and safe we can all give him pelters

Have you guys signed him after his trial? He always had a good crowd reaction when he came on “Roooonnney.” But I am not sure this was because he was good.

He did score one wonder goal for us, but I always felt he was NL quality, maybe at a push lower league 2. When he was on loan at Hartlepool he hardly played. For league 1, don ‘t see it. He will work hard, just do not think he has the ability to get past good defenders. Unfortunately, welcome to your world now.

Not signed ANYBODY as yet but strong talk he about to. Know more after tonight's match I think.
Quality is immaterial at the moment, we are going down like a 2bob callgirl.
What matters is attitude, can a player take the beatings and still really try?
Most of us would settle for that (that's if we make the start of the season like)

He would be a great signing. Played in the play offs last season for Tranmere. He bossed it last night.

I think he would be a decent signing for you too! Did enough for us last season to be offered a new contract this summer. Why he never signed only Jay will Know!

Rooney has come from tier 9 having not made it before. I would be gobsmacked if he did not try his hardest to take this opportunity. Yes, I think he will keep trying, he did not strike me as someone that would give up. But nor did he strike me as a league one striker. Wish the lad well.

Ps. If Rooney signs how many players will you have?

You’ve got the wrong Rooney. You’re thinking of Louis Rooney. He’s on about Dan Rooney. His younger brother.

Dan Rooney didn’t really get a chance here, although he has represented Northern Ireland at youth level. Didn’t see much of him here though, not in the first team anyway.

We've let Cameron Burgess go on loan to Salford for the season. He was god awful in L1 last year, assumed he would be better this year though. This is a great move if Salford are paying his huge wages, a terrible move if not.

Well that’s our ex player signed up. Shaun miller on a season long loan from Crewe.
https://www.morecambefc.com/news/2019/july/shaun-miller-signs-for-morecambe-season-long-loan/
Was brilliant when we had him a few years ago and I’m confident Jim can get the best out of him. Now we need a winger and a centre mid.
Should do a decent job for you guys. Was brilliant the season before last, but since we've changed to a 443, he's struggled, he can't play the central role by himself and he's way down the pecking order as a wide player. Hoping with Shaun leaving for a season, we can offer Taylor a contract as he's impressed on trial, but still think we need that back up target man to cover Porter as I can't see him being able play 40 plus games.

There is some suggestion that both Jay Harris and Adam Buxton were initially given contract offers that were later withdrawn, so maybe Micky Mellon or the Palioi would be better able to answer the contract point BITDHSS raises.

Harris is a capable player at this level and seemed to have learned a bit more self-discipline from Dave Perkins. Would certainly be worth a deal from Macc.

Nathan Cameron is apparently the next player of ours to leave. Could walk into any team in this league but can't train more than once a week.

Jesus we could do with him back, even if only for his attitude.

Could not walk into our defence but yeah he’s a good player ruined by injury.

Joe Lynch signs on this morning, midfielder released by Crewe. Any ideas Alex fans?

Shaun Miller signed on loan last night.
Typical midfield Academy type of player for us. Neat and tidy on the ball. But didn't seem to have the physical attributes for men's football. Which I think is why he never played for our 1st team. Id suggest you've probably signed him as backup.

We've signed Jose Baxter.

Think he used to be good on FM a while back and has had a couple of drug run ins.... anyone more up to 'speed' with how good he is?

If Baxter gets a run of games under his belt you will have a very good player But if like last season he in and out of side not as good on his day one of the best players at this level wish we still had him

With the backup fitness team you swiped from us this could be a bloody cracking signing
