Apparently we've "signed 3 more players subject to medicals and contracts expiring next week". Some players perhaps more savvier than others and waiting for the extra month's payment.

Our squad returns to training on Monday with the traditional pre-season boot camp the following week. Going to be gruelling down there with the temperatures being forecasted to get up to the 40s potentially down there. I could gravel my driveway with the number of stones McNulty has lost on this trips in the last few years.

Not three more players. The three players we had supposedly signed subject to medical included Stephen O'Donnell. So if the Outlaws poster is right (and his posting the initials SOD two days before the O'Donnell signing was announced suggests he does have inside knowledge), there's two more yet to be announced (he's also apparently ruled out Lewis Gibbons as one of those two, which is interesting as Gibbons's twitter suggests he is definitely linking up with us for pre-season at least).

As an aside, the same apparently ITK poster has suggested that Wycombe might be in for Michael Harriman now that we have ended our interest due to QPR playing silly buggers. Presumably that means he will sign a contract with them and go out on loan again, or that QPR will drop their fee now that their perceived opportunity for a bigger sale has disappeared. If true, he'd be a fine signing for anyone at this level. Not outstanding at anything, but a good all-round full back, gets up and down the pitch very well, reasonably solid defensively and quick enough to cover for his occasional positional errors. Not a great crosser perhaps but he's got goals in him, could easily have had 4 or 5 for us this season with a bit more luck.

Pre-Season starts Monday which means shit get's real and the players leaving their options open will start making decisions and signing deal. Next week should be busy with more signings....

He was one of the more optimistic Carlisle fans in our L1 relegation season on the old forum, though that's not saying much, Big Dave and Myself were voted 1st and 2nd most pessimistic fans in League One, and I'm sure HG would have garnered a podium finish but when things just turned to total shit after February he pretty much stopped posting.

Last season started badly for us, so having just endured a totally crap relegation we were all pretty pessimistic come September. I think it was more that HG never really recovered any optimism one we'd started to pick up the odd win.

Also, most/all pro contracts tend to run until June 30th (which is this coming Tuesday). First week of July is bound to see plenty of confirmed movements.

Not just that, but some players who are not out of contract will be moved on as soon as pre season training comes along, if they're not likely to be involved as much as they'd like.

At our mini St.Georges Park training facility Were lucky and probably the only team in the league with a set up like it for youth development.

Few new signings 'youth with pace' is the only thing he's given out...oh and we're hiring 20 security staff so people don't know which foreign players we have on trial - you know, because other L1/L2 managers will have walls and software set up trying to identify mysterious Dutch 2nd division footballers and try and poach them away.
