He scored on Saturday, but his workrate has irked fans. We've been light upfront anyway, so a signing like this was going to happen sooner or later.

Basically a natural finisher and not much else, and his confidence was never there for us, we tried playing him up top by himself which was never gonna work, hope he does well for you

Kane is a strange one. Evidently had a good season with Dundee, yet with us he really offered zilch.

He definitely isn't to be played as a lone striker. The boy has zero pace and can't hold the ball up despite his size. In truth, I don't really think any one at OUFC (management and fans) quite understood what his best role was and how to best utilise him! That could be as a result of a lack of faith/confidence, inefficient tactics to best utilise him or merely he just wasn't cut out for League 1.

I wouldn't say that I'm entirely surprised or fussed that he's left mind. Our system under MApp and Pep requires something different up top. Best of luck to him though, should be good in League 2.

Aye, agreed that Stagsnet was OTT, but whereas the criticism was poor, you'll always attract criticism (rightly or wrongly) if you don't close down/appear not to much effort in.
