We’re signing a PL defender tomorrow.

One rumour site says Ethan Ampadu is set to sign for an unnamed L2 club tomorrow.

2+2=?

Ampadu has been playing for Chelsea in pre season and will probably be a squad player this season, why on earth would they send him to League 2?!

Also it seems David Cotterill has been seen at the club this morning, he'd be a great signing!

I really liked Surridge, he's got a good first touch and his movement and link up play is decent. However his finishing isn't great, he should have scored more than 8 last season given the chances he had, and he needs to be stronger in the air, but given it was his first taste of league football, and our struggles, he did pretty well.

I agree with all that. He gives 100% and will run all day. He does need to improve his finishing although his lack of goals was partly down to him playing in a poorly-performing team and at times he was playing as a lone striker when he really isn't big enough to be a target man.

Personally, I think having a kid has helped Baxter grow up this last 12 months, and now he’s got a child to support I don’t think it’s remotely risky.

In fact, I think every single team in this league would have him in their team if given the chance.

Agree on the other 2 though. COG is a squad player at most, Coke is a decent player but that won’t mean nothing unless he keeps fit.

Flitcroft told Anderson last season he wasn’t in his plans which is understanable when he’s on almost 4K a week IMO. He’s ok but for that kind of wage we could get 2 decent players in. Obviously struggling to get shut if him as no one will be willing to pay him close to what he’s on here.

Doesn’t seem like Flitcroft has him in his plans though, Notice a tweet he’s put on tonight was also replied to by Zander Diamonds missus. He’s another on a good wage we can’t get shut of and now he’s out injured for a few months so we are stuck with him, aswell as Mirfin being out till Christmas.

Also got Digby and Butcher still currently transfer listed who again are on good wages so we’ll struggle to move them on this window. Can’t say we didn’t expect this, Evans leaves this kind of mess everywhere he goes.

Cole Stockton is one of those players who only seems to perform for certain managers; needs to be loved Mellon brought the best out of him previously, can’t blame Stockton for trying his luck north of the border and would be better than an inexperienced kid, which seems like the alternative. Not one to set the pulse racing though.

Apperantly we are actually considering selling our two best proven goalscorers in Angol and Rose.

Charlton are apperantly in for Angol and I can sort of understand recouping our large fee for him because he’s yet to realise his potential but I would give him another season personally.

Then Rose who I think just is not favoured by Flitcroft, he’s our best goalscorer though unless Walker realises his potential. We only have Angol, Rose, Walker, Davies then Graham a youth product currently and getting rid of even one without a replacement is madness.

Sorry meant to say right back (although has played plenty at left back for us) so probably would be intended as competition for their right side (Nyom/Dawson?) if he was to move. Seems to have been picked up by their local media now, and was 'rested' from our final pre-season so might well be something in this one.

This is the odd bit those who assume we are going to sell both also assume we won't replace them with a loan or permanent. I can see us shipping one but not both. All they have said is if they hit their valuations they will go but no one has a clue what the valuations are.

Paul Digby has been sold to Forest Green Rovers for a undisclosed fee.

Definitely potential in him but we didn’t really see it and he did not get much of a chance, we are overloaded in central midfield so this is good news.
